On day 18 of no alcohol and loving it. I was definitely tired of being tired. I’m 36 and I woke up hungover one morning and I started thinking about how I’m going to be 40 before I know it. Something clicked in my brain that said, if I stop drinking my 40s can be the best decade of my life! I decided right then and there that I was going to start taking care of myself now so I can have a head start into my 40s which will also benefit my 50s and so on. I’m very excited about this.

We are in the same boat. I’ll be 36 in August and I’m about 24 days without alcohol and I feel fabulous! Cheers to sobriety!

How are you doing? Did you stay the course? Just curious
Your comment struck a cord. I’m 60, so it took me much longer to make the decision, but I want to make my 60s the best decade of my life

I agree, quality sleep is probably the best part about not drinking.

Im happy to hear your honesty about the mental clarity piece. I’m three months in and I feel like I’m still slogging through, but I have found other videos even if rare, that say the same thing so gives me hope.

Stay with it Sheila. It’s worth it. If you’re able to throw in some regular exercise that may help as well.

Which part speaks to you the most? The energy thing was always the biggest motivator for me to quit.

I think it’s true to say the benefits don’t happen straight away. The mental clarity and weight does change over time not instantly. But it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made

OK, these are some good reminders, there’s no question that increasing your mental clarity and boosting your drive, comes with quitting. Yes, there are many ways to kick the habit, Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever is what worked for me, best shortcut I go’ogled that took days without withdrawal.
