Right?! lol, I appreciate the dad joke of it all 😌 It’s always so endearing to see how music can cheer people up to 🥹 Gaga specifically is a treasure 🖤✨
This single feels like an amalgamation of every era. This one just felt SO special as a little monster. Thank you Micheal for telling mother to make a POP album 🖤
It's emotional for me because at this moment in her life, we can tell she is so happy. She finally has a team that is protecting her art, unlike previous eras. There has been so much shit she had to go through to get to this moment. I cannot think of a more perfect time in her career to release something like this.
I think a lot of people do, her talent is undeniable just wish more people were exposed to her. She should tour latin america and south asia those countries would support her more than the US
@@TheMolabola Gaga is pretty well liked here in the US. Well, maybe not so much for her acting, but as far as music goes, she could have an arena concert every day of the year and she'd sell out every single show within minutes
if you wanna take a tip from a random about the best album of 2024 that passed everyone by, Allie X - Girl With No Face. Very much in the coldwave genre, written and produced entirely on her own, and the things she's able to do with her voice are just astonishing. Check out the song 'Off With Her Tits', pick your jaw up off the floor and then give the rest of the album a spin. And if you want to go hard-hard, Poppy just dropped an album that has an honest-to-god almost-deathcore track on it. She looks like a waif of a porcelain doll and screams like an actual demon
For almost a decade now I’ve been wanting an album by Gaga in an Evanescence style. Very goth, very solemn, hardcore but with elements of softness. I think it may be on the horizons.
@ Honestly the album seems stacked if we get all these songs so far no skips, I just feel like dance in the shadow is most safe single out of them even though it was a short snippet
I don't know what you're going through, but I always say that just as bad things come, so do good things. Everything will be okay, greetings from Argentina and thanks for reacting to mother monster ❤
Thanks bud, you nailed this one! I was bobbing too and as you were thinking linkin park I was thinking Lita Ford or Lizzy Hale. Smile on and keep the reactions coming. 🤟🎶🎸
You have to watch her on the Chromatica ball film on MAX, it’s the perfect bridge from the last album into this new one. Plus her performing live is always incredible!
Gaga's new single »Disease« dives deep into dark, theatrical themes, mixing heavy electro-pop sounds with vivid, haunting imagery. The track feels like a reimagined version of her 2017 hit »The Cure« with her »healing« role twisted through a darker, seductive lens that hints at a relationship with power and control. It's all about illness and redemption, as she sings of being able to »heal« her listeners, but with an ominous tone that makes her role both alluring and intimidating. Praised as one of her boldest steps since playing Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, the track contrasts its dark atmosphere with wilder energy, making it a standout in her catalog. Musically »Disease« channels her Born This Way Era - with complex synthesizers and a maximalist production style that makes it a defining moment in her discography.
I was having a bad day too, but watching reaction videos makes me feel some sort of connection with other people in this lonely world. - That Guy From Sephora.
My first thoughts while listening to this song was that it was like a rock/emo sing with synths instead of guitars! In a good way! Hope you are having a better day!
I see lots of comments about the song being about her grappling with all her different identities throughout her career, and certainly sonically it feels like the logical culmination of everything BUT: the actual lyrics very much read like she's talking about addiction. Recall her talking about 911 from Chromatica, where she said that due to her propensity to addiction she can't take painkillers so she has olanzapine instead to deal with the excruciating pain that is part of her fibromyalgia - in fact the end of the video for that song is referencing something that really happened. She was in so much pain she fully dissociated from reality, 'came to' in the ER with no memory of who she was or how she got there, and thought she'd been in a horrific car accident and was about to die because of the level of pain she was in
Listen to her perform with Metallica, the Led Zeppelin vocal she did on Howard stern, her "if I ever lose my faith in you" cover at the Kennedy center, and cover of "what's up" during her ARTPOP ball tour and thank me later!!
@Blake McLain It's Art Pop making peace with The Fame. It's Gaga's alter egos competing with each other. She's trying to escape the industry that wanted to manipulate her. It's about embracing the shadows and accepting yourself, about healing your own pain, something that only you are capable of doing. Those who got the movie references got it: Hungry Eyes, Cruella from 101 Dalmatians, Black Swan, The Shape of Water among others. Not to mention her own self-references from her old albums. Amazing! ❤🎉🎉
I was watching another review and they mentioned this sounding very NIN. If she did a soundtrack with Trent Reznor...like Immigrant song with Karen O vibes; it would be so GOOD!!!!
The realization... "Oh god she cured my disease" hahaha love your reactions
Her mind!
Right?! lol, I appreciate the dad joke of it all 😌 It’s always so endearing to see how music can cheer people up to 🥹 Gaga specifically is a treasure 🖤✨
That scream “…without a prayer!” Is very John Wayne’s “…and you can go a little faster?”. IMO this is her best lead single since Applause.
Also "running out of medicine" calling back to "You're the medicine" growl in manicure.
@@AlexMorgan13 spot on.
Pokerface 🤧
I WAS JUST THINKING THIS IS THE BEST LEAD SINGLE SINCE APPLAUSE!!!
Since Perfect Illusion you mean? It is an awesome song.
