The Max8 ESC hasn't got motor thermal shutoff, it only has ESC thermal shut off. So keep a finger on the motor temps untill you get some fans. Ive got the same scenario with my Max8 but I'm not pushing the ESC to shut off, usually the motor temps go higher before the ESC. Be careful or you'll demagnetise your motor, great to see you back on your feet & with a fireteam in hand bargain for the money you paid.

Yeah fire team is pretty nice, um totally stock out of box, completely there, motor, ESC, and receiver and radio, I'd buy new bearings and replace them as after 5 to 10 runs they seem to fail, yes it is supposed to be a part that is made to fail, it has moving parts after all, but they seem to rust, even if not drive in water, and fall apart rather quick, but everyone has there own opinion, and I'm in the small island of the xmaxx not the best basher out of the boox
The fireteam is easily one of the greatest RC’s ever produced in my opinion

Once you step up to running 1/8 6s rigs it's hard to go back. Definitely worth saving for because you tend to get what you pay for in the RC world.

Yes it will run 4s but I ran it on 6s

It is awesome as for the xmaxx I’ve just got a project one cheap so I can see what all the noise is about.
