You probably already figured this out by now, but the zipper coming undone is due to the fact that it is designed to burst open when the gas cylinder is engaged and the inner bladder inflates. You just need to reset the zipper and fasten the special velcro tabs on both sides that keep the burst area closed during normal use. Great personal flotation device! Hope to get me one, too.
Just ordered two for me and my OH, but wasn't sure if it was going to fit me (similar size to you - perhaps just a bit bigger!) but now I know it's going to be OK. Thanks for the video. Congrats on working out zip, but if all else fails RTFM :-) . Cheers and happy boating.
Remember that life jacket is the sport version that's why it is small and compact. And 70 quid! How much do you think your life is worth? Crewsaver do another jaket at 300 quid.. my dogs jaket cost more than the one your wearing ?
Mark Davies No the life jacket is not to small for you, this size of jacket is for a person of 40kilo or greater. It is for use in rivers and costal areas. See mullion-pfd.com/en/technical/standards and at 70 quids it’s cheap enough to replace when it starts to show its age.
Probably read it by now….but it tells of not to unzip but pull the zip apart. Then take zip around to the beginning and zip closed as usual…

so funny cos I had exactly the same zipper situation 🤣 😅
Better have one on the whole time. 👍🍺
That's what i am thinking Chris
Danger with displaying something like this is that people think it is a 100% lifesaver. Better than nothing but take advice from a store.
