Recently, we have booked a TATA Tiago XTA... Got shocked after doing PDI... The condition of a brand new car is pathetic... The spare tyre is from a different brand in the car, the left side AC vent is not working properly, uneven panel gap (common issue in every tata car), rubber belt and plastic parts inside the door are loose and broken etc... Now they refused to refund the booking amount... We have been waiting for almost 25 days to get the car and are now facing this situation... Also all other brands hike prices of their cars and last year stock is not available as AMT stock is limited... As a TATA fan, I am totally disappointed ...😢

i completely agree with you, we have been waiting for harrier petrol since last 3years. we really like the design of it but its of no sense to get a 26lakh car in diesel and that too in ncr. the reason why we aren’t buying other options is bc of the look of harrier. the look is really nice but due to lack of petrol they lost a costumer
We bought tata Tiago ev XT LR for my sister on 6 jan 2025 ( booked on 16th December 2024) in Bangalore and while returning back to my home place (260km away) i had to charge it once in between . While doing my first charging there was issue of coolant leakage . Then as we returned home somehow we observed the new issue with accessories fitment (fog lamp) . The fog lights were not turning off Even after locking the car and even after disconnecting it with 12v battery . Then i raised the complaint in dealership next morning, then they sent technicians form the nearby dealership to my home on 8th Jan 2025 and they couldn't resolve the issue on spot so they took it to the nearby service centre (45kms away) and dealership took 2 days to resolve the issue with accessories fitment (fog lamp) . As a customer we feel very bad when such things happen and dealership justify there mistakes by telling sorry. And now I am trying to get warranty issue resolved for 8 days but there is no response from them. I also tata Nexon bs6 diesel 2022 bought from the same dealership driven 70k kms till date never faced any issue till date. In my perspective,The major setback Tata motors deal with service centres. I need to share my experience with the service ( worst )
tata fanboy here but completely agree with u here even our experience of buying tata punch(top model amt) was terriblle they only put 1-2 litres of petrol and lied to us saying the put in 5 litres our brand new car ran out of petrol on the first day itself on the highway worst delivery experience ever
Combine sale of Harrier and Safari doesn't look too bad..the fact is they sales one car with two name Plates. Where as xuv 700 is same car with 5 seater and 7 seater...and 25 % PETROL is additional. If we combine all these factor TATA will at 4k to 5k and competition will be neck to neck with Mahindra

When buying a 30 lakh car nobody thinks about fuel efficiency. Also there are going to be strict norms on diesal cars so yeah petrol SUVs are required. Your point isn't wrong but I am just talking about some cases. Edit- I guess 4*4 is not possible because of some engine and crankshaft issue. To develop it TATA would have to invest to develop which right now is not possible. I am not yapping Mr. Hormazd Sorabjee on his channel AUTOCAR INDIA has discussed. Even HARSH Bhai talked about it in video.
I have a Harrier and it is very fun to drive ! SUVs are meant to drive in Diesel we get a good punch and fuel economy too ! It’s makes no sense in buying a petrol SUV and TATA knows it ! On the other hand HARRIER comes with 20+ ESP modes which are no other car in its segments offers ! The only problem with TATA cars is after sales and services, but this problem you will get in every car companies !

It's almost 3.5 to 4.0 lakhs difference. If you consider XUV is also or even great product then Harrier. 2. Not only XUV, creta, seltos and i think 💬 so Kushaq is also it's rivals. 2.2. I don't want to talk about hector and compass because of same issue. I know that compass comes with 4×4 but at what cost. Thare is more in want to say but can't. So Tata should do something.
My Chachu owns TATA NEXON DIESEL 2018 XZ+ DUAL TONE. The car is great , I have driven it many times, no electrical faults reported yet. We now booked 2 Nexon CNG smart + s , in my family, the delivery is on 20th January . Hope we do not face any issue and get a good aftersales service . Will surely email you if faced any issues.

Maine khud se he resolve kar liye the , I am also a big fan of Tata but I would say reliability issue se zyada gaadiyon ke andar quality control ka issue hai . Mere case mai jo bhi issues hai woh minor hai koi itna major nhi hai , Maine aise bhi tata ki gadiyan dekhi hai jo 4 lakh km plus chal gyi hai aur bhi aise tata owners dekhe hai jo aaj bhi apni purani gaadiyan chala rhe hai tata ki . Tata ke saath main cheez yeh hai ki agar woh 10 gaadiyan bech rhe hai toh 10 mai se probably I would say 6 gaadiyan minimum aisi rahegi he jisme issues aate hai , and I am talking about major issues not the minor ones . Same thing goes with their landrover and as well as jaguar , aur yeh problem abhi se nhi hai yeh problem tata ke saath shuru se rhi hai jab se woh xars bech rhe hai . Ek time 0er Hyundai mai bhi reliability issues hua karte the and now they are in the list of most reliable cars brands in today's date . Tata waale yeh chiz kyun nhi sikhte , itna improvement karli gaadiyon mai tum kyun apni g****d marwa rhe ho bhai . Lot of comments on absence of 4x4 in Harrier/Safari. The platform used along with the transmission is not capable of adding a 4x4 without major engineering changes....!! This would be a big investment for Tata.

xuv 700 is vfm. But Harrier/Safari is class. It feels rugged. Jaake 700 ka door dekhna and safari ka dekhna. Agree engine options kam hai. Isiliye Sales kam hai. But Safari feels majestic. Beat the looks from that walrus toothed 700
I have driven safari 1700 KM, and xuv 700 1400 KM. Lucknow chandigarh Manali, both are great cars, safari has better suspension, better 360 degree quality camera, but xuv feels driving any BMW car. Family felt more comfortable in xuv 700.. if I ever have money, i would buy xuv 700, however Safari is also great car, but xuv felt me more luxurious, nice punch, and it was hard to believe that this car was made by Mahindra (my personal opinion) xuv 700 is not value for money..it costs over 30 lacks here in Lucknow..where as safari just 10,000 more.

Bought altroz for 8.5 lakhs . After 3 years the car is rusting in a lot of areas. Major problem is their service centers. I had recently given the car to Tata Jasper showroom for boot glass replacement and they had used their screw driver to remove glass pieces which caused a lot of scratches on the boot area. I don't want to buy a tata car again.
Driving stage 1 remapped 2022 safari. Nothing can match the driving comfort, power and robust feel. Very steady on high speed and gear box and engine will amaze you. Ihave test drove fortuner for a future upgrade but the tuned safari power and gear shift is unmatchable. Will wait for biturbo endeavour. Not taking xuv700 and Scorpio name here 😂😂 better to buy creta than these cars
I think tata ko apne og 2.6L dicore engine ko comeback karna chiye with (bs6.2)...and safri strome ko relaunch karna chaiye like Mahindra scorpio low electronic with great readability 😊....

I agree to totally disagree. Our two employees are running Tiago and Nexon since last 3 years and literally no issue with. 5 Star safety in Indian cars was unexpected with International brands too having 0 to 3 star rating. As far as 4x4 is concerned, people would have gone for Jeep Trailhawk which is true 4x,4, but failed miserably. Issue is we want features which we rather use than safety, handling, resale which is last part of owing. For updates, I have seen only cosmetic changes in most of the cars. Tata has grown from scratch to second biggest player with Punch breaking 3 decades of Maruti dominance. There is not a single car which is perfect from everyone's perspective.
Bhai sabse bdi problem hai Design..... All tata cars look same now. People want old school SUV designs like Thar Scorpio N n classic. They should come back with Safari classic, Sumo new design to compete thar.
I was thinking about tata nexon but went for Brezza due to tata's very poor service network and all of my friend's worst service experience. The kind of forgery they do in the service is really really horrible. So it's pretty evident that it will fall. Safety does not alone sells in the market for a long time. Almost all of the indians want reliability and safety side by side.
I really wish TATA is able to give a reliable after sales service and work on the electronic issues in their vehicles.

Tata should come with their own Diesel engine and don’t know why they are not coming with Petrol they should learn from Mahindra and develop powerful Diesel and Petrol engines I don’t think so 1.5L petrol engine will deliver similar power as Mahindra’s Mstallion does

1.2. and one of my family members ownes a harrier dark edition price of which is way high then XUV 700. It's almost 3.5 to 4.0 lakhs difference. If you consider XUV is also or even great product then Harrier.
2. Not only XUV, creta, seltos and i think 💬 so Kushaq is also it's rivals.
2.2. I don't want to talk about hector and compass because of same issue. I know that compass comes with 4×4 but at what cost.

My Chachu owns TATA NEXON DIESEL 2018 XZ+ DUAL TONE. The car is great , I have driven it many times, no electrical faults reported yet. We now booked 2 Nexon CNG smart + s , in my family, the delivery is on 20th January . Hope we do not face any issue and get a good aftersales service . Will surely email you if faced any issues.

As a Safari Accomplished Plus owner, I salute you brother. Please call out the absolutely poor Service Quality and Complete lack of understnading please. Car is amazing, but I think there is lot of Corruption in TATA that they are not even focusing on their top-end anymore.
Bhai, I can/might be able to live in a world where a new harrier can be sold without 4x4. But the fact that Safari [current gen] isn't a 4x4 or even AWD is honestly the worst decision Tata ever made.

It is not lack of 4*4, the real reason is bad ergonomics, sluggish engines and pathetic interior quality and fit and finish. Those areas are what mahindra have really worked on hence their sales success

I own 2022 Nexon model , bought in February. Issues aaye gaadi mai lekin boht saare issues aise the jo ghar baithe he solve ho gye , mtlb service center per jaane ki zaroorat he nhi padhi aur naa kisi ko call karne ki . Maine khud se he resolve kar liye the , I am also a big fan of Tata but I would say reliability issue se zyada gaadiyon ke andar quality control ka issue hai . Mere case mai jo bhi issues hai woh minor hai koi itna major nhi hai , Maine aise bhi tata ki gadiyan dekhi hai jo 4 lakh km plus chal gyi hai aur bhi aise tata owners dekhe hai jo aaj bhi apni purani gaadiyan chala rhe hai tata ki .
Tata ke saath main cheez yeh hai ki agar woh 10 gaadiyan bech rhe hai toh 10 mai se probably I would say 6 gaadiyan minimum aisi rahegi he jisme issues aate hai , and I am talking about major issues not the minor ones . Same thing goes with their landrover and as well as jaguar , aur yeh problem abhi se nhi hai yeh problem tata ke saath shuru se rhi hai jab se woh xars bech rhe hai .
Ek time 0er Hyundai mai bhi reliability issues hua karte the and now they are in the list of most reliable cars brands in today's date . Tata waale yeh chiz kyun nhi sikhte , itna improvement karli gaadiyon mai tum kyun apni g****d marwa rhe ho bhai .
One thing I would also like to say is that , yeh jo dealers hai naa tata ke teh kisi din ledubenge brand ko , although mera experience acha rha hai till date per zaroori nhi hai ki sabka he acha rha ho experience .

Lot of comments on absence of 4x4 in Harrier/Safari. The platform used along with the transmission is not capable of adding a 4x4 without major engineering changes....!! This would be a big investment for Tata.
What is the maximum fesable car dimension for me? I live in Kolkata and have hired a driver who is working for me for 3 years. He is skilled. Since I won’t be driving, the effort that goes into driving is not a problem, I only want access to all parts of the city. I also travel in smaller towns frequently to visit families. Bad service. Issues with electronics. A lot of breakdowns. No all wheel drive and lot more. And out of all, over price for the top model.
xuv 700 is vfm. But Harrier/Safari is class. It feels rugged. Jaake 700 ka door dekhna and safari ka dekhna. Agree engine options kam hai. Isiliye Sales kam hai. But Safari feels majestic. Beat the looks from that walrus toothed 700
I have driven safari 1700 KM, and xuv 700 1400 KM. Lucknow chandigarh Manali, both are great cars, safari has better suspension, better 360 degree quality camera, but xuv feels driving any BMW car. Family felt more comfortable in xuv 700.. if I ever have money, i would buy xuv 700, however Safari is also great car, but xuv felt me more luxurious, nice punch, and it was hard to believe that this car was made by Mahindra (my personal opinion) xuv 700 is not value for money..it costs over 30 lacks here in Lucknow..where as safari just 10,000 more.

Bought altroz for 8.5 lakhs . After 3 years the car is rusting in a lot of areas. Major problem is their service centers. I had recently given the car to Tata Jasper showroom for boot glass replacement and they had used their screw driver to remove glass pieces which caused a lot of scratches on the boot area. I don't want to buy a tata car again.
Driving stage 1 remapped 2022 safari. Nothing can match the driving comfort, power and robust feel. Very steady on high speed and gear box and engine will amaze you. Ihave test drove fortuner for a future upgrade but the tuned safari power and gear shift is unmatchable. Will wait for biturbo endeavour. Not taking xuv700 and Scorpio name here 😂😂 better to buy creta than these cars
I think tata ko apne og 2.6L dicore engine ko comeback karna chiye with (bs6.2)...and safri strome ko relaunch karna chaiye like Mahindra scorpio low electronic with great readability 😊....

I agree to totally disagree. Our two employees are running Tiago and Nexon since last 3 years and literally no issue with. 5 Star safety in Indian cars was unexpected with International brands too having 0 to 3 star rating. As far as 4x4 is concerned, people would have gone for Jeep Trailhawk which is true 4x,4, but failed miserably. Issue is we want features which we rather use than safety, handling, resale which is last part of owing. For updates, I have seen only cosmetic changes in most of the cars.
Tata has grown from scratch to second biggest player with Punch breaking 3 decades of Maruti dominance.
There is not a single car which is perfect from everyone's perspective.

I was thinking about tata nexon but went for Brezza due to tata's very poor service network and all of my friend's worst service experience. The kind of forgery they do in the service is really really horrible. So it's pretty evident that it will fall. Safety does not alone sells in the market for a long time. Almost all of the indians want reliability and safety side by side.
Their interior is substandards, not to forget the ride quality & Steering response.
