    Hi kirsche, as a UK viewer i have to say how worrying i find the normalisation of not only BRIDGE initiatives, but also marxist ideologies and woke culture too. It genuinely is slowly shifting the boundaries and we barely notice it. My own city issues take down requests for English flags, while spending public money on pride and lgbt flags, just one example. My current commie government even considers enforcing blasphemy laws (making criticism of islam illegal). This stuff is handwaved by most people I know. victories over DEI feel so shallow to me when the rotting root of this stuff is tightening around us. Our PM promotes black rock publcially! I'm so happy Americans picked trump, but i worry most in my country don't care for freedom in the same way. I hope to legally move to the states one day. Keep holding the line, Americans!

      i really worry about you english people, something really "fishy" is going on in your politics and on your island (no pun intended). The whole thing with the taxing of farmers seems utterly surreal, especially when you look upon the benefits your politician's pray to you. The unrest iam feeling is grounded in the way they are willing to take property and land away from families that actually lived there for hundreds of years, and mostly middle-class. (in my opinion; the "rich", your politics say they wanted to tax on, can easily pay out the State or just "transfer" land, property and money via. economically tricks and nothing is gained whatsoever)
      And then the Uk wants to give it to "new" farmers?
      I think, and bear with me, that could be very wrong what i am thinking, that from the start, many years ago, blackrock intended to buy everything that gets taken away from the english population and sell it back on high interest and/or to people they can manipulate into believing what they tell them. Which is exactly what happened in many other places on the world where BR invested into housing and land as property.
      Where i live, we have some politician's with BR background and they all seem to behave like there is always more the the whole story.

    2:24 Indeed being on here is especially egregious. Indeed should’ve been avoided for a while now. If you’ve paid attention to their advertising, they shifted from applicant-centric marketing to employer-centric marketing. They feel confident in having a captive pool of applicants so they don’t do anything to incentivize them anymore; now, they prioritize incentivizing employers with things like tools to more easily weed out applicants.

    • @isengarde9490
      @isengarde9490 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tried Indeed for like two years, never got any response from nearly daily applications.
      Then I learned that all the online job boards are filled with what are called 'Ghost Jobs', which is basically some roundabout way for businesses to look good to the taxmen, by showing all the applications they're getting to prove that 'Yes we're not hoarding an absurd amount of money that you don't know about, look at all these salaries we're paying!', without having to actually hire anyone on.
      And I don't just mean like big corpo chains. This rot is at every rung of the ladder of capitalism.

    I just had an interesting Thanksgiving. My entire family is right-winged. One of them works for the Heritage Foundation at the same pay scale of Project 2025 authors. So there's my father and brother who are pro-Trump. My sister who wants somebody more to the right of Trump because she knows he's not actually going to do Project 2025 and wishes he would. And then there's me the p***ed off Afghanistan war veteran who got shafted by Obama. I want whichever outcome gives me the "Tim Pool Special" because I am tired of communists breathing my air and really wish they'd just give us an excuse already!
    The argument sort of ended with me being quiet to avoid being pegged as the mentally unstable individual I probably am while my poor sister was getting double-teamed by the boomer and boomer fanboy.

    Bridge and project 2025 are 2 sides of the same coin. I disagree with both. Project 2025 has some more based ideas on paper but it leans too far to the right and may have unforseen consequences (like many of the far left policies are now experiencing) for me to stand behind it. We need to return to the center, not swing the pendulum 180 degrees in the other direction.

      DEI is just racism
      Systematically giving preferential treatment to a group of humans based on race / gender always means you are also systematically discriminating against the groups not included.

    • @machinelearninggoddess
      @machinelearninggoddess หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      DEI used to be equality of opportunity but has devolved into equality of outcome. We need equity measures to some extent to ensure equality of opportunities but turning the dial up to 11 is not the answer. At the same time turning the dial to -1 is also not the answer. I will be blunt here: a minor degree of DEI is A VERY GOOD THING. For example, a small degree of DEI helps a company providing outreach to disadvantaged groups who otherwise would not have a chance to apply to a company, and we just need to get more disadvantaged groups to apply, we don’t need to change standards for hiring in favor of disadvantaged groups. A high degree of DEI becomes minority supremacy though.

      - "Federal policy to get tech out of the hands of children" from promise 1 is also too broad and subject to interpretation. Would this prevent a 10 year old from learning how to program on a laptop?
      - "Muzzle woke propaganda" from promise 2 defines neither 'woke' nor 'propaganda'. It's easy to assume what's understood by those words but such unclear understanding becomes dangerous when interpreted from the POV of law.
      - "Increase national defense" from promise 2 states neither the purpose nor size. Such an increase will come from tax. How much tax?

      @@gnerkus *1: "Eliminate Terms..."*
      Removing gendered language from federal legislation is...authoritarian? By removing these specific terms, it means no law could or would be able to discriminate based on such categories, or enshrine such categories as protected characteristics. I agree that it's too vague for implementation, but how exactly is it either authoritarian or evil to prevent governments from discriminating against its own citizens based on their immutable characteristics?
      *2: "Federal policy to get tech out of the hands of children"*
      I agree that this is too broad and subject to interpretation, but being vague is not necessarily evil.
      *3: "Muzzle woke propaganda"*
      I agree that both terms would need to be defined properly before any actual legislation could be written, but failing to define one's terms is not evil.
      *4: "Increase National Defense"*
      I agree that there needs to be a lot more specificity when it comes to this statement, but that's not necessarily evil.
      Keep in mind that Project 2025 is designed as a proposed guideline for future legislation, not the legislation itself. Obviously it's going to be vague, because the people whose job it is to determine the finer details of legislation is Congress, not the Heritage Foundation. The original question wasn't "what part of Project 2025 is poorly written/defined/explained," the question was "how is Project 2025 evil?" And the next question after that is "how is Project 2025 in any way as evil as the BRIDGE initiative to which it was directly compared?"

    • @machinelearninggoddess
      @machinelearninggoddess หลายเดือนก่อน

      It may not be necessarily evil but this vagueness can be a breeding ground for corruption and makes it hard to us to trust P2025. We have very good reasons to have major distrust in P2025 and it working. As good as the intentions might be it can also be interpreted by congress for objectively unconstitutional and evil reasons. I would highly suggest you become more skeptical of sources with vague definitions and favor more precise and trustworthy sources. Some people are racists who interpret anti-wokeness as anything that helps racial minorities and therefore will use antiwokeness as a vehicle for racism and hate while others are in good faith and use anti-wokeness to fight against excessive counterproductive progressivism. Because of this, antiwokeness has devolved into a meaningless buzzword with unreliable and possibly dangerous connotations especially when used with an audience who don’t interpret it in a positive manner. Precise definitions of terms should be put in an official document like P2025.
