I’m so happy that others have a real chance in beating this horrible cancer. Lost my 2 year old beautiful baby boy it’s truly the worst nightmare of any parents, first to hear cancer in the same sentence as your child’s name, then it’s there is nothing else we can do for your child they are not responding to any treatments and all they are willing to do is keep your child as comfortable as possible, but interns verse a medical with actual experience is a huge difference and I wish I had heard of this Dr. I hope they continue to help the terminally ill children that need a voice to help them, like these parents and not giving up. My son passed away 1 week after finding out he was terminally ill. Godbless everyone who helps innocent children and there family how stop life as they know it, to save the life of the people who matter most to them is there children all of them. ❤

Never lose hope. My 3 years is undergoing chemo for intermediate risk. He has completed 3 cycles and one more before he go for a jaw surgery and 2 more after it. At the end radiation he is very very active he is infection free so far. Hope fully he will make it through "inshallah " with the will of GOD. I recommend keeping the good heigene, make him whatever food he wants. Get him new toys when ever u can. And the goal is to not make him cry for anything. your kids or who ever in your family is fighting cancer will come out of this inshallah. But remember death is certain we all going to die nothing remains except "Allah" u need to trust him and don't cry everyday. Crying means you have no trust in your creator. Where ever he does benifits us here or after. Just be thankful that ur kid is getting a treatment. There are million of kids who do not have sufficient amount of money to even get 1 round of chemo and most people die in Pakistan without getting any treatment. When they do the nursing staff is so negligent regarding good heigene. U have to tell them every time to wear gloves and use hand sanitizer. I even witnessed she putting chemo with bear hands for that I had to argue with their head. Just remember onething u or your doctors can't do anything unless ur creators approves it. So keep praying be grateful to him. Pay charity to the needy. ALLAH SAYS IN QURAN when u give "sadaqah" charity. I remove the evil from u and multiply the amount u spend on needy and return u with favors. Charity doesn't have to be cash. U can just put your rotten bread to birds. Or help people cross street. Help women, kids elders everything u do for the sake of your creator is charity.

It's a long story. Basically I'm from rawalpindi. This thing started in April when we found some swelling on his left side of the face near molar area, we immediately consulted a peds medical specialist. Doctor thought it was due to some viral and he gave us antibiotics but we didn't give him any antibiotic thinking it will go away in a week as it's some viral. We suspected it to be mumps. When it didn't go down for 20 days we went for a dental surgeon, he said his last molar is displaced and it could be due to some kind of infection. But luckily he knew my cousin doctor and he called him and he was like it could be a tumor they should go for MRI neck with contrast. When I got a call from my cousin who is a assistant professor medical specialist in government hospital. He suggested MRI neck but he also said u don't need to worry right now, we just Wana make sure it's not something serious. Very next day we got it done from IDC laboratories in Islamabad. Result came up with lesson fracturing the hemimandible region. Now this news was very shocking to both of us. It was the first night of Ramadan. All the doctors were busy due to Corona and Ramadan but luckily we got an appointment at AL shifa international Islamabad with Dr shayan Ansari head and neck ENT surgeon. He performed the biopsy as soon as possible and after waiting of several days we heard this bad news that it was malignant tumor neuroblastoma. I can't explain how this news changed everything it was like everything has finished so sudden we started thinking of what had gone wrong, which sin we have committed to hear something like that. Me and my wife cried straight 15 days while searching for the best hospital to get him treated. We consulted different doctors at al shifa, CMH rwp and many other peds oncologist everyone scared us of the results. but alhamdulillah we have faith in Allah rab ul izat that he is with us and he will show us the right path and we left everything to him. Mean while everyone around came up with their opinions. Some suggested to go for spiritual healing. Some suggested homeopathic medicine. Some came up with surah rahman the chapter in Quran with its beautiful healing miracles . We started surah rahman and other wazifas at home but didn't go for any peer or spiritual healer. Than my cousin contacted one of his friend in shaukat khanum memorial cancer hospital in lahore. We were told to visite after eid cuz their OPD was closed in Ramadan due to Corona. We visited skmch in lahore on the 4th day of eid. We had to wait 5 hours in a long que they were letting one by one due to Corona. we were thinking of leaving but Allah kept us strong we waited 5 hours and finally we got to consult this lady doctor in walk in clinic. She told us to go back and get the entire tumor removal from outside and submit the sample to our labs than we will tell u what to do. I was like if we Wana get it removed from out side why would we came here. but she explained this is what our guidelines tells me other wise you can visite any other hospital if u don't want it to be delayed. We felt so help less at that moment. I was thinking that they just don't Wana take any case that's why they just made a fool of us. It was Thursday the next day on Friday my wife started crying she said why are u sitting home why don't u do something about it. Go find another hospital no matter how expensive it could be we can't delay. Than I called my ENT surgeon Dr shayan Ansari who had performed his biopsy. I told him that this is what shaukat khanum told me and I want the tumor to be removed. He told us this is not how it works. He said he had consulted with oncology team they all came to this agreement that he will be treated with chemo first. He said I can't do his surgery cuz we need a plastic and dental surgeon as well and I can't do such thing which is wrong on any price. I was against left clue less for what to do next. I cried to Allah to show me what to do. Every where we go and come back empty handed so please help us find a way. At the moment an ideo of going to al shifa labs and collecting the biopsy block and slide pop-up in my mind and I wasted no time and went straight to al shifa collected the sample and came right back at shaukat khanum collecting center near my home and requested them test the sample for second opinions. And on the weekend me and my wife planned to visite shaukat khanum peshawar which is their next branch in peshawar. They have a walk in clinic their as well where they evaluate new patients. I explained Them about our visite to lahore and how they turned us down by tell us to go get the surgery. She smiled and said no its not like that. She explained when u visited out branch at lahore, our guidelines was to only eccept preoperated patients. But today our guide line changed and we will persue from here. She wrote me whole body CT scans. Biopsy block review,, cbc, and mycn amplification test to be done from agha khan University hospital Karachi. It took me almost a month to get all these done. Meal while I went to cmh to get his bone marrow biopsy to see if it had spread. Also got bone scan neclear medicine to see any lessons in bones. Thankfully all reports came back in our favor. Mycn not amplified. CT scan show no matesteses to distance organs or lymp nodes. Bone scan was negative. Cbc was fine. Just one pathology was unfavorable which was neuroblastoma undifferentiated type cell tumor. But shaukat khanum eccept our case and evaluated his intermediate risk. Which will require 6 rounds of combination chemo therapy, surgery, radiation and cis 13 ratieno acid for 6 months course. Now come to ur original question. How my son is doing. Alhamdulillah he had 3 cycles of chemo completed. 4th is due at the end of this month. They they will do a scan and perform a surgery. I will be fabula free flap where they will remove the bone part from his jaw and implan bone from fabula free flap. Its a major surgery but we have faith in Allah thay he will get us through. So far shaukat khanum is treating his with the best care possible. They are keeping the good hygiene as well and full professional care. Im very thankful to the team of doctors, staff worked and the management they are very professional.
