I am Egyptian and I find Egypt fun and, not too easy, not too hard, but it's certainly a challenge. Yes it's army is small and weak, and in research isn't that good, but Egypt has allies doctrine, so you could research and grow pretty fast. You can kill Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, march on Turkey, counqer the British contorled Sudan, Palestine, and territories in Arab peninsula, you can build a strong navy to deal with the British fleet at Cyprus, with maybe some help from someone else, you could counqer Italian Libya, and Greece. And you can become a major world power, despite the disadvantages at first.
Egypt is a secret super power, they could easily beat all their neighbouring countries and become a world power. And allies doctrine help grow fast as well.
I semi agree Egypt is great at times but it depends on the lobby if italy is a smart player and goes for Africa and the middle east then its a lot harder
