I keep the temperature in mind. I also know how I feel in a coat with my hands exposed. Low teens is pretty chilly but the sun was out. Single digits at night. I watch his body language with the fleece ex.. shaking. If he is panting he is way too hot. I don’t wait for him to pant. If it’s 20 degrees or higher with sun he usually doesn’t ‘t need a fleece.
