    No thanks to the 992.2
132 lbs. Heavier. No manual transmission. No real Tach. Push button start (hackable with 8spd pdk). E- Turbo. Mechanical nightmare... and it's ugly.

I guess we can thank the EU Green Party nut regulators for this insanity. But Porsche management is fully woke and on board with getting rid of ICE tech and customers as fast as possible. I’m a mechanical engineer and worked for Cummins engine out of school. My first assignment was turbo durability testing. I can tell you there’s nfw I’m buying the franken-Porsche 992.2 hybrid. It’s just way more complex than required for the desired performance envelope. We are already seeing the costs of this debacle affect not only the new cars but the existing models. I inquired about ordering a 911 turbo s and they said I had to pay an extra $30,000 on top of msrp, due to all the losses associated with EVs. So, both the msrp went up to cover the EV development costs and Taycan financial services losses - as well as dealer losses in inventory of Taycans and lack of 911 inventory to sell. So, ordering a 911 turbo s would set me back $300,000. That’s a lot of effn money. For that kind of cash, I can get some really nice cars. I’ve always been a loyal Porsche customer but for the first time, since buying my 944 in 1984, I’m now considering leaving the brand. And I don’t think Porsche gives a shit about losing guys like me…
