This turned out so cute. I was scared to start an IG page to post planner pics but I did it and I’m having so much fun with it! Terrified of TH-cam but never say never!
I absolutely love the flowers you made!! The spread looks great! I think I may take a giant leap outside my comfort zone and possibly start a planner TH-cam channel. I've been going back and forth with it for sometime now.
I absolutely love this spread! I've never heard of mica powder, but I think I might get some now. I live in the southeast and have a great job at a company I love, but part of me wants to move to Salt Lake City, Utah just because it's so beautiful and different and the weather is amazing. I'm afraid of not finding a company I love as much as where I am now. I'm also afraid to leave the man I love behind, even though I'm not sure it will work out. Probably a litter deeper than you were asking for! I love you Mary Ellen! You're my favorite!
I’m sorry it took me so long to watch this video. I’m doing the mixed media happy dance! It makes perfect sense that you can only do this type of spread every once in a while. I have used mica powders in the past in a stamping class I took. We used a clear stamp product, probably a gum Arabic type solution. Anyway, we waited until the stamped image was tacky and then we picked up the loose mica powder and swiped the powder across the stamped image. Once the mica was dried, we took a clean brush and knocked the leftover powder in the trash. The teacher made us wear simple little dust masks to protect our lungs from the loose mica. Your process is different, so a dust mask may not be necessary. But while mixing the powder and water, I would put on my Covid mask in case their are loose particles floating in the air. I want to try this with lettering. Thank you for another great page and demonstration. When I was 25 I went spelunking in the Wyandotte Caves in Indiana. It was a five hour tour with hard hats and knee pads. We were tummy crawling through very small tunnels that opened to large caverns. We then had to find finger and toe holds to climb half way around the 45’ cavern to continue the tour. It was the most frightening and exhilarating thing I’ve ever done. I think I learned what a natural high was from that experience. For the next two weeks the exhilaration remained and slowly decreased. What a great experience.
I always especially love watching when you do something out of the box (no pun intended😉) like this. Your words are giving me strength in my decision to restart the long (scary) process towards ordination as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. I’ve struggled a lot in the past, but it’s time and I can do this!!
Such a fun spread! I recently started my own chiropractic practice (3 weeks before COVID shutdown.. great timing eh!?) and have found that my fear of failure and rejection keeps me frozen in inactivity. I am terrified of the rejection that inevitably happens at times when you market yourself but I HAVE to overcome that fear in order to not fail. Thank you for the reminder of how good it feels after you do something that scares you!
I've recently bought me a journaling Bible, and I have been afraid to use different things in it, but like you did I can do it on paper and then put it in it, I enjoy seeing what all you do,
Love it! And you used the rounded stickers! 😯😂 I think my biggest fear, is not striving for success, but taking on too much responsibility and being overwhelmed by it.
I used to sell mica makeup like 10 years ago! You can add the powder to clear nail polish, take a chapstick and create lipstick, use it with concealer to create eyeshadow or for body art!
I’m enjoying your videos. I just started paper planning again-but this time I’m not planning office stuff and I’m adding things I want to remember. You have been a big inspiration. Something hard to do-I’m going to prep a couple of lunches for next week without the perfect containers and everything...
I love how you used the mica powders. I only have only heard of them in eyeshadow and makeup. They looked gorgeous. Something I did that's scary is unenrolling my 15 yo daughter in school and I am going to be homeschooling three kids this year and two are diagnosed with autism and my daughter is being evaluated for Autism too. It's about to be crazy here lol.
I love this!!!!! I’ve never been very creative and I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and done a little painting. COVID has taught me to not take things for granted and stop putting off things. Just go for it!
I love this spread! I recently switched my major from one I was beginning to hate (economics) to one that I love (biopsychology! and I'm about to take the leap into a side project (selling stickers and printables!)
Artist Mary Ellen is back in action!! Lol I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.. I love when you bring arts and crafts into a spread instead of just stickers.. gorgeous as usual! Thanks for sharing love 😘😘😘 P.s that baby spoon is freaking adorable!! Lol
Cute flowers, I would think you could mix mica powder with mod podge or use a spray fixative to keep it from smudging. You can also mix colours to make your perfect red. 😊
I love @arteza products. I’ve shared some on my channel as well and have a LONG wish list of items I want from them. I don’t know why creating or trying new things in your planner would be scary. Especially in a HP. Part of the reason to use discs is it’s easy to add and remove pages. If it turns out like crud you can just use a different page or cover it. Or use a printable. There’s lots of options. And it’s just a planner. It’s meant to be functional. The decor is just a plus. I was on your michaels class. It was good. Much better than the one the week before 😝
I agree that it shouldn’t be scary but people tell me that all the time. Thanks for coming to my classes, not sure why this one was much better though 🤔
Mica particles floating in the air can cause trouble if you inhale them into your lungs. That is probably why the instructions call for putting the gum Arabic and water in before stirring. If you want to mix them together first, just wear your Covid mask. Finally a fun reason to wear these dastardly masks! 😉
Such a beautiful video and lovely channel😍that I might be binging all of your video😂😂 Really your contend is really interesting and honestly you deserve alot more so all the best❤ new subbie
Was anyone else yelling at the screen to just use the pink lollipops? 😂 They were smaller though so I could see why you didn't. My biggest block right now is asking people to host a FB party to help my Color Street business. I know that's a big part of success but I hate that it feels like I'm begging others to help me.
Love the spread! After more than 20 years of teaching, started teaching 100% online. It's been scary, eye-opening, and fun with first graders!
Good luck!
This spread definitely reminds me of flower power...They are very retro, cute and colorful🌺🌼
This turned out Great! I'm going to try to be more creative as well in my planners.
Love how you always think out the box when it comes to decorating your planner
Great spread. The flowers are beautiful.
I love the flowers you made!

I love your channel! Those powders are super cool and I love how your flowers turned out!

Do it!
Wow! So nice and good ideas!!! Bravo!!!! I love it!!!

Wow, that sounds cool! You do get such a rush from doing things that scare you, and in my opinion that is really living!
I always especially love watching when you do something out of the box (no pun intended😉) like this.

Just about every successful person and business has had to deal with rejection. It’s part of the process! Keep going.
Planning with Bumble ❤️❤️
I love seeing your creativity! This is stunning!
I've recently bought me a journaling Bible, and I have been afraid to use different things in it, but like you did I can do it on paper and then put it in it, I enjoy seeing what all you do,
Awesome! I've never heard of these things. They're like powdered colored pencils.
Nice ! So different!
This is so beautiful! Arteza has the coolest products and you always think of such clever ways to use them! Love it! 💗
Love it! And you used the rounded stickers! 😯😂

Looks great love it!
Love it!!
Love this! You did a great job with the class. Enjoyed it a lot and look forward to the next one 😊

I tried using modge podge over it and it smeared badly but I didn’t try mixing it in. This worked perfectly!
do you have any other zoom classes coming up?
Not yet but I’ll announce it when I do! Probably sometime in the fall.
I love @arteza products. I’ve shared some on my channel as well and have a LONG wish list of items I want from them.

I loved It .. i was so curious How It would turn out and i love these powders... Sorry my english 😬
If it was me, I'd mix the powders together before adding the water. That way it would be mixed up better. Loved this though

Yep, i wanted big ones! I get that feeling but if people want to do it they will. It’s up to them!
You used foil?! And rounded stickers?? Really going out of your norm here!
You’re right! I actually liked it though!!
Ive been so afraid to start a youtube channel. I make all these plans and have all these ideas but never get going.
I was that way too!
I'm afraid of failing... if I start it's all or nothing
I understand that but sometimes that’s a feeling that makes us feel stuck
