In Asian cultures, as in mine, parenting is almost nonexistent as adults don't feel like giving time for their children is necessary. It just burdens the child who grows up lacking etiquette then gets bullied for being unaware of it.

In seriousness though, he needs to be careful with eating food that hot. I heard of people who eat like this and have been known to damage their oesophagus and mouth badly to the point they can choke, have severe burns and have swallowing issues so much so they only can eat liquid food until it heals or in bad cases even have a tube to your stomach to feed you through because of the bad burns
