12-hour HPV Miniature Railway record

On Sunday 19th August 2018, David Henshaw and son Orlando set a new world record mileage figure of 117. 4 miles in 12 hours. The record was set at the privately-owned Isle Abbotts railway near Taunton in Somerset. The pair took turns to pedal the recumbent in shifts of 20-30 minutes, completing 325.7 circuits between 8.20am and 8.20pm
As a matter of interest, the pace of the Greenspeed X4 recumbent exceed that of the existing 24 hour records for miniature locomotives:
The unofficial US battery-electric record of 218 miles
The unofficial US internal combustion record of 208 miles
The official world record of 206 miles (it happens to be steam)
The previous official world record from 1994 (and still a British record) of 168 miles
