FBI agent Art Ruffles talks about how the Westies Murdered Ruby Stein. The Genovese crime family complains to Paul Castellano. Danny Grillo Jimmy Coonan Mickey Featherstone Billy Beattie
Yeah State of grace loosely based on the Westies with Ed Harris as Jimmy Coonan type character and Gary Oldman as Mickey Featherstone. Its ok. a little too hollywood
I heard Billy Beattie say in an interview that they were all partying so hard in the apartment during this meeting ie: drinking, snorting coke, popping quaaludes, smoking reefer etc. that if the phone would have rung nothing would have happened cause they wouldn’t have heard it anyway or been able to rush the restaurant & kill anyone anyway. lol
the deal was if there _wasn't_ a call by 10, then rush the restaurant. for some reason there wasn't a call, i guess mickey knew they'd be too stoned anyway...
Ruby Stein was not involved with the Gambinos, he was with the Genovese Family. Roy told Coonan, don’t admit anything about the murder. Play ignorance and we got you covered.
Wow. There it is. Incredible. And the funny part was that the Westies were too wacked out and didn’t even pay attention to the phone call and Coonan forgot to call. 😂
Over in Italy wifes were involved as well. Even made major calls. Not many talk about it. Not sure if it still goes on, or when it stopped. But they definitely were in the past.
Billy and Art Ruffles did a joint podcast interview called Later Days In 22 or 21. It was mentioned that he had died shortly afterwards. He sounded rough in it. It covered his early years prior to the westies and growing up. It was a pity the interviews were pretty short. To be honest, a lot of it seemed like just going through all the most well known bits. You don't get much more in terms of who the players really were or the real characteristics. Billy did have a habit of distancing himself from the more nefarious actions of the crew. Probably had to in order to be a credible and relatable jury witness. The Westies story is a story that is not complete without input from Coonan or Featherstone, something that is not likely to ever happen. Shame really, as to my mind it is an incomplete story with too many gaps and interpretations that can only be filled by the participants themselves. Much like the Demeo story, there are a couple of guys Joey, Anthony and Henry who could really strip back some of the myths and speculation of that story.
Sorry not buying it. This is a sock account by the creator of the video who essentially cheated because they knew when video was dropping and was able to use sock account to type first before anyone else.
I don’t like saying stuff about dead people but I think Dom took a lot of liberties with the truth. He definitely embellished - saying he was a capo and a green beret among other things.

This channel should have way more views. Real deal.
Westies is one of the greatest crime books of all time imo. Amazed they haven't done a movie.
Yes and Underboss.
“State of Grace” with Sean Penn . Some of the exact stories above are in the movie
Yeah State of grace loosely based on the Westies with Ed Harris as Jimmy Coonan type character and Gary Oldman as Mickey Featherstone. Its ok. a little too hollywood
Scorsese should have done a Westies movie instead of the Irishmen
The Westies weren't the best example of "organized crime"
Lol he's talking about they cut the body up and in the background u hear an electric saw lol.
That was for dramatic effect
Dominick is prolly one of the best storytellers I’ve ever heard
Best channel on the mob by miles, I'm facinated by the DeMeo crew.
Hey man this is great these clips are great

They highlighted this in the movie Sean Penn and Gary old man done about the westies
State of grace ? Great film
Society and the predators around Dom, created him.

Sounds like the scene in “State of Grace” with Ed Harris, Gary Oldman & Sean Penn.
That's crazy hes talking about cutting up bodies and there's a table saw going off in the background 🥺
Hope you guys are having a wonderful Sunday... Let's kick some ass next week!!!
There’s a saw in the background. Simple observation

it still goes on
Ruby Stein did not deserve this,it came back to haunt them, rightfully so.
They all deserve it.
@@Matt-ns8nb you are correct. You live in the underworld , underworld things can and will happen.
He should've thought about that before he got involved with those people.
Are we sure Ruby Stein never killed or was responsible for killing some one one,,,
It'd all part of the 🎮
I love how this guy sucks his teeth every other sentence 😂
State of Grace great movie
It was total bullsh1t...

WOW... Insane.
Westies where all crazy.
I miss the fbi. These days criminals are just ordinary people with no laws to break.
i wonder if any of the original westies are alive ?
Yes. Several. Mickey Featherstone, Kevin Kelly, Jimmy Coonan to name a few. Some in prison and some in the witness protection program.
You can remove billy, died recently. And if the Cop talking is Art Ruffles , he is dead too.
@@johnmurphy7063 how'd Billie go? Hadn't heard anything about it til your comment.
Coonan or Featherstone interview now would be great shit coonan ain't busy lol 😆
