この物語は地獄谷野猿公苑の群れの偉大なメス頭（いわゆる女王、メスの序列１位のサル）である「トックリ00」の全盛期を追い続けたドキュメンタリーです。
地獄谷野猿公苑の群れは公苑設立以来、現2023年までの間に8頭のメス頭が存在してきました。
この「トックリ00物語」の主人公の「トックリ00」は地獄谷野猿公苑史に名を残すことになるでしょう。
日本全国のモンキーパークのメス頭を見てもトックリ00ほどの強烈な存在感と個性を持ったメスは存在しないと思います。
トックリ00は世界中に多くのファンを持っています。
トックリ00は8代目、今もなお現存するメス頭です。
トックリ00は2013年にメス頭の座につきました。
私が彼女の存在を知り密着を始めたのは2015年からです。
この「トックリ00物語」はトックリ00の全盛期である2015年～2019年をメインに、その前後も多少含めて展開していきます。
ぜひこの偉大なメス「トックリ00」を知っていただき、この極寒の山岳地帯に今も生きているトックリ00の強烈な生き様をこの「トックリ00物語」で楽しんでいただければ、と思います。

Kiyo, regarding the females - when a female is no longer Alpha female, does she still recieve some type of special respect as a former Alpha? Like the Alpha female before Tokkuri 00, for example, or does the ex Alpha just recieve the 'normal' treatment that any other troop member would recieve?

@@gatorrollu6502 Thanks! I started thinking about this the other day, when I saw one of his videos about (I can't remember her name at the moment, but I think it ended with the number 93?) the former Alpha, before Tokkuri 00. I hope Kiyo will tell us! 🙂
