AT 41:00 ans- x+y = -a-3.....x*2+y*2= (-a)*2+(-3)*2 ..=a*2+9.....
now, a*2+9 is also a quadratic eqn. ...in which .. a=1,b=0,c=9 and this is also x*2+y*2
after using above value in formula -(D*2/4ac)...we get ans=9...why ..it should also come 3 as solved in the question
