It is good to hear from you, I was going to actually send you a link to this video in case you hadn't seen the posting. I watch all of your videos, and I love them. I'm not sure what brand I plan on using, but I thought that I would try installing 4 12" by 12" led lights per bed. I was going to go heavier on the blue leds for green plant growth since i plan on growing kale primarily.
What is your water Temp at time it is fed to your grow beds? My understanding is that most plants do not like temps over 75 F. The problem is that Tilapia likes water at 80 to 85 and will die off if you keep them at or close to, 75 F. If you have been doing aquaponics for 8 years, what is your water temp please?
My water temps don't usually get all that warm. I heat the air so the actual water temp is fairly lower than the outside temperature. Tilapia do just fine in 70 degree water, and as long as I'm growing crops that do better in warmer water temps i should be good.
