    Thank you for your pictures of the wonderful "back yard" and the interview with this fantastic biker.

    Excellent photos and video. We were in Valley of Fire 2 1/2 years ago in spring. We found out about it by chance, stopping at a Nevada tourism site east of Las Vegas. Beautiful park, but hot (at least for us) even in spring. I would come back. Your maps were very helpful.

    Great travel video. I really like these because they give me ideas of new places to go. I also like the use of maps. I gotta learn how to do that myself.

    I am very upset with you. I live in Las Vegas and have been to many of the places that you visited and had planned to go back and do a video like yours. But after seeing your video and the wonderful scenes and the Big Horn Sheep and the great interview with German gentleman, and your outstanding narration, I realized that I could never produce anything even close to the quality of this video. You must be a professional videographer, because things are so well put together. You really captured the feeling of what Valley of Fire is like. Can't believe that you hiked that long trail to White Domes. I had to take the paved road to reach it. I can't wait to see your next video at the Mojave Preserve. I am sure that it will be fantastic as well. BIG THUMBS UP!

      I laugh when I see my early videos and I still have so far to go. So I urge you to get into video if you find it at all enjoyable. When you produce your first video, please let me know and if you have any questions, just ask.

    Thank mother nature for wild places! Even though it is so close to Sin City, people need natural places to recreate. The bad thing is that the locals don't appreciate what the desert has to offer and they think it's a place to party and be loud. Last time I was there in a walk in tent campground I experienced the aforementioned.

    Like you, in live in SoCal and have never been to Valley of Fire!
    Def putting on my list. The German cyclist interview was inspiring.
    Amazing story. You should do more interviews with folks you meet on your travels.
    That’s what traveling is all about.
    If more strangers talked to each other, we would have far less problems in this world.

    Enjoyed our time in the Valley of the Fire too. Did the visitor center and the small entrance center on the east side from I-15, then drove through the scenic route you mentioned to Ls Vegas...Looks like too much work pedaling across country so glad the man is having. Good time, but not for me. I’ll stick with my camper. Enjoyed the video as usual.

    We live in Southern California as well, and do you think we have ever been there? Awesome conversation with Manfred - great job on keeping it going & the questions that I wanted answered! What a gorgeous area - loved that spring and the sheep - so cool to see them so close!

      This trip resulted in us digging deeper into our area. Just purchased the Mojave Road Guide which would be cool to do but probably requires 4x4. But we think there are sections we can do in the van and on our e-bikes.

      @@TravelSmallLiveBig I like the guide and especially the history that is included. Reminds me a bit of the Milepost book. If you do decide to get it, I bought it from DesertUSA Store without the map--less expensive than Amazon.

    If you're back during the summer I suggest you go to McWilliams Campground on Mount Charleston. It's at 8600' so it's 30 degrees cooler than Las Vegas. it was 110 at our house in Las Vegas and 80 degrees during the day and 60 degrees at night there. It's dry camping. There are very clean restrooms and water pumps. We were curious if you still like your Rad bikes. There are biking trails at the campground but they're rather steep. Do you bikes handle steep hills? Thanks for the great videos.

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve been meaning to visit that area. Will probably have to wait until fall. We love the Rads. I just installed hydraulic brakes on my bike. Makes it easier going down hill.

    • @sethfinkel4003
      @sethfinkel4003 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FromShetoMe I hope you don't mind if I ask one more question. When you're dry camping do you bring an extra set of batteries for the Rads? I'm assuming there isn't a way to charge so without back up batteries you're limiting to one day of riding until you are at a full hookup campground. Thank you

    Debbie, love your videos! Do you wear padded bike shorts or is your saddle so comfortable you find you don’t need them? Do you have a link to the seat?

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my younger days I wore padded shorts but now I just insist on a big ole tractor style seat. Sorry I don't have a link to my current seat; I removed it from a "Townie" that I have.

    Enjoying your video and the interactive maps. What program are you using to capture the map and showing the arrows while you're narrating?

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The maps are from Google Earth. There is also Google Earth Pro which is pretty much the same thing. The arrows are created in my editing software (Final Cut Pro X). I think there are plug-ins that would be a lot easier than what I have to do.

    We look forward for your videos every week. Learning so much from you. Thank you. What is the brand name of the microphone that you use when you interview? We are looking to buy one. Thank you in advance. We are going to test drive Pleasure-Way OnTour 2.2 on 12/9/2019, OnTour 2.0 is not at the dealer yet. The search for "the RV" continues.

      @@tdadventures I just want to make sure I was clear. I wasn't referring to your videos but rather the Wireless Go allows you to adjust the volume so that when you are recording you won't bump up against the red. I know I have had plenty of issues on my videos with the audio levels.

    Hi. When you go on a long trip what do you do with your mail delivery? Do you have anybody pick it up for you?

    • @FromShetoMe
      @FromShetoMe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have the post office hold it. If you have a good relationship with your mail carrier, they can/will hold it longer than 30 days. Ours held it for 3 months as long as we let her throw away the junk mail (which saves us a lot of sorting). Tip: postal carriers can accept gifts valued up to $50. I usually get a grocery store gift card and the holiday season is the perfect time.
