The Stanage bay trip is finally her! What an awesome fishing destination, I won't say it was easy going but when we found the fish we really smacked em. So sit back, crack a cold one and come along for the ride.

How heavy was the gear you were using in close chasing the cod?

I was only using a 6-20lb blade’n’tails rod and a 3000 size daiwa certate spin reel.

I'm heading up there in a few months. Which Islands did you hit up? Any recommendations?

We did well out at otterbourne and Hexham island but on the first day we did alright around the duke islands. Did a lot of drifting around the rock sections close to the islands was the best way to cover ground and work out where the fish were.

Been there around 2010 and had the boat at Vons place and spent a bit of time out around the inland’s
