- We decided to hit a lake ive never fished in the spring. This old Texas lake is kown to have big crappie and we found them. Watch as we breakdown this lake, processing unfamiliar water, landing on some big spring time crappie!

If you haven't already I need you to make a hoodie that says, "we don't trophy fish we grocery fish".
Nothing like family time, cherish the moments.
I love when they go in the cooler
I miss fishing with my pops. I said this to say it’s good to see you fishing with yours.
I feel the exact same way

Man, keep working the main lake drop off south of 820 along the north said all the way to the spillway.
Ha! Every time I drive past that grass patch I wonder if it holds fish. Now I know.
Hi Ken. Do you have any info or a video on how you control your ffs transducer when spot locked?
Thanks, live your videos
Ralph
💕 Wow💚💚💚💚💚💙💚
Wassup fellas!!!
Whats up bro! Hope you enjoyed the video
I’m from south Louisiana.. If I see alligators in a canal. I tell myself that’s where the fish are lol
Jus wanted to ask you a question ❓ when you went to Arizona and caught that Monster Shellcrack I see you didn't brag make a catch and cook video..
Ken I like your livescope setup better than anything I've seen so I'm building one. I have a couple of questions, #1 my transducer is on the front of the boat like yours. From my seat to the transducer pole is 6', is that too far? #2 It turns very easily in the bearings, will I need a tension screw to keep it pointed where I want it?
Pops is fun "I don't know what he's talkin about but I see grits". Enjoy every minute my friend.
1. It's only too far if it's uncomfortable for you
2. Without something to hold it in place when you let go of it, you will lose your target. Or do like me and over steer so it will come to rest on your target
@@HookCityTV Thank you buddy, I should be putting the finishing touches on it tomorrow. That hydraulic hose was $7 a foot at Napa. I didn't know who else had it locally. I didn't have much in it at all before that, $5 for the bearings, $12 for the shaft collars (Amazon). I already had the aluminum and paint.
If anyone else is building one here's what I've learned. I looked at all types of hose and nothing else was as good for the job as hydraulic hose. The guys at Napa had a 1/4" fitting to bolt threads so I JB Welded a bolt inside my shaft to connect the hose. Any type hose with a memory isn't good. A quality air hose was my second pick but it had a small amount of twist before the transducer started to moved. If you paid for a LiveScope buy the right hose. The size of your bearings and collars depends on the size shaft you use. Mine is 3/4" because it matched the 360 shaft. My bearings are only 4" apart but the shaft is stable. You'll need a basic metal shop but nothing fancy or you can buy one for $500. My big ole butt !
Big Ken, do you mainly use forward view or downview? And what depth ranges are you using?
I personally don't have livescope and the last half a dozen trips I've had trouble even finding crappie. Is livescope a must have to catch them now?
Do it again BIG Ken.😅
Is that hydraulic hose ur using to turn livescope? I tried a sink supply line it isnt quite stout enough.
Yep
