Mav i grew up about 60 miles east of where you were for this trip. I grew up doing swamp tours for my dad's business. These guys were the real deal for a south Louisiana experience.
Yeah Mav took up on Outdoor Boys style of introduction. That's also something MrBeast himself recommend, tell exactly what happens in the video, then overdeliver
Turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens, kale greens, cleaned and cut leaves up. Put in pressure cooker. Add about 2 cups water, salt, pepper, pepper flakes, garlic powder, smoke jowl. Put lid and jigger on. Cook on high. When pot starts jiggering, turn heat down a little and let cook about 30 minutes. Release pressure as directed. Need a pan of cornbread to eat with it , raw onion and some vinegar sprinkled on. Western Ky, USA
That’s Louisiana for ya. The way they joke & give you a hard time is only to make you feel at home. Great job by Mav to understand that & joke right back.

Hey, Mav. Just wanted to thank you for your content. I was never much of an outdoor person growing up, but have become one recently thanks to you. Saw your truck camping videos and needed to experience for myself. Already become more of a fisherman, car guy and general outdoorsman, all from being inspired by you to go out there and enjoy life.
Surprised he didn’t realize he should of wore different shoes for this occasion. With all of his adventures, he should know how to dress. O’well I guess he was okay. Do what you want to do.😊
I think this was by far my favorite episode. I have so many favorite eps of yours but this one was so refreshing and wild! That cool lady spearing the gar effortlessly blew my mind. Murray always makes me smile. The awesome hosts. The late night boat party extravaganza (kind of scary at first lol). Love it. Thank you!

As a displaced Texan who used to hunt and skin them, I don't have much fear of rattlesnakes. But, I've had enough run ins with extremely aggressive water moccasins to be terrified to have been as close to that one as y'all were. I've had them chase me miles upstream when wade fishing. Glad the ones y'all came across left you be.
Your adventurous spirit shines bright as you spend 5 days in a bayou houseboat! From a crawfish boil to encountering a giant alligator gar, your journey is as thrilling as it is captivating. Keep exploring! And I Am Floating Village Life
Hey Mav, next time you are in Baton Rouge, let us know. We would have loved to meet up with ya. Hope you enjoyed south Louisiana. Some of the best food you will ever eat!

I haven't been on a trip for the better part of a decade, but I now know where my next one is going to be. My health hasn't been great for the past two years, but I can't let that stop me. I'm only 33 but there's still so much I want to do yet. I absolutely just have to do this. I've always wanted to go to Louisiana anyway, and this would be the perfect experience for me. The only difference would be that I would have to bring my bows for some bowfishing! Thanks for this one Mav... I'll be sure to tell them you sent me when I make my way down. I live in Wisconsin but I'm a Georgia boy born and bred, so visiting the bayous of LA would be kinda like visiting that eccentric neighbor that you rarely speak to, but you always RSVP whenever they invite you to the occasional friendly barbecue and your relationship always picks right up where it left off from when you saw them last regardless of how long it's been...

When you spend that much time around them south Louisiana swamp boys it’s almost impossible to not start talking how they do lol. I spent a lot of time working on the oil rigs in the gulf with them guys and I always found myself switching my accent 😂
