Well proven design, would'nt say it out sold it's MF competitor but it's owners in the main had far less hassle with it. We had an MF our neighbours all had B47's behind 135's and 35,'s we had b414. The MF salesman got more hits with tractors and the International salesman did better with balers ,muckspreaders ploughs discs and wheeled fertilizer/ drill without coulters spreaders . I think most IH kit might have been a tad cheaper?
Hi Will I've got the same baler and I've changed from sisal twaine to plastics and one end of the twaine is coming out from the disc and only one end of the twaine is getting knotted What can be the problem?
Sorry for a comment 4 years later, but just bought one of these for next season, can you tell me if you run it on Sisal baler twine or the modern plastic?
We had a B47, tuned right it would run like a clock, though first 100 or so bales were always a bit of a wake up for the season for the old girl, the key to getting the knotters to work well was keeping the twine knives sharp and adjusted.

Hi. My
My B47 runs much better with sisal, rarely dropping a bale . Plastic causes a few knotting slips !
