Regrets:
1. RJ45 mic connector, these do not hold up
2. Not tri-band, missing 1.25 m

RJ45 mic connection? On the rig and mike itself? Or the cable? If the cable, could an off the self cable replace it?
@@DominicMazoch microphones take a lot of wear and tear, especially in a mobile.
When manufacturers first started putting RJ45 connectors on, I didn't think much about this.
Over the years, I find nothing but trouble with RJ45 connector on a microphone.
I wish they would go back to the older style, that holds up so much better than RJ45 over time.
Please give us the names of the people who didn't want the mic port on the head unit. I bet they all used to the suction cup mount and yanked it right into their distracted driving face.

Is it possible to use Apple Air Pods Pro (3rd generation) with the Blue Tooth on this radio?

Looking for a programming cable (ie scu-20) but they do not seem to be available from the usual sources. Any suggestions?
Mine arrives tomorrow so I am no hater but what is the point of supplying an extension cable for the remote head in the box but making you buy a mic extension cable separately? Either include both or neither - unless you are using the rig as a scanner, you need the mic up front where the head is. Mine is going in the shack so I don't really care but I just think that is nuts. Mike M0SAZ

I bought a FTM-10 years ago that had the Bluetooth option, I hope the Bluetooth really works on the FTM 6000R. It was a complete failure on the FTM-10. I would like to hear from someone who has actually bought and used this radio with the Bluetooth option. I wished the radio included the 220 band, but understand that market would be limited to North America. Glad to see this radio is made in Japan and I also like the new style mounting bracket that is included with the radio and not an option. Icom would charge extra for the mobile bracket.

How is the receiver sensitivity of the Yaesu FTM-6000? Excellent, average or below?
Yaesu should not put only Mic connector in main unit, because many people put Main unit in truck, Mic Cable is not long enough to go to trunk. older FT-7900 had Mic connector in Control head unit. AG6JU
I just received this radio. How do I find what firmware is on the radio and from where do I download the latest firmware? This is my first radio so everything is new to me.
I've noticed that the sellers (HRO-Gi-Ga) are not offering a MARS/CAP mod. Will this be coming in the future?
I suspect the details on how to do it haven't been released yet from Yaesu

Wow my unboxed had power wires with stripped ends and a couple of fuses. No connectors and wire with fuse holders

I hope part 2 is not like part one in that John just glossed right over the other pins in that 10 pin port. If you want to sell me a radio and some cables tell me what they do. I see no problem in giving out this info. BTW if Yaesu brought back the 2 meter only FT-2600 today as is it would sell. That was a proper packet interface.

Yaesu has earned such hell for this garbage suction cup mount. Why continue? I spent close to 600 for an FTM-350 loaded. That mount was garbage then.
