The Savage Drive sounds pretty badass with the Roadster, a sort of Metal Muff / MT2 -esque tone with a beefier lower midrange. The manner how the chords ring is downright ruthless, at least compared to your demo of that pedal 3 years ago. Lovely. This video series is fun, please continue.

Damn Ola !!! That was impressive! Great ear 🤘🤘🤘my favorite is ts9 .. was my first od pedal ever and I chased everything under the sun for years and I'm back to original TS9 🤘🤘
great comparison! you should have included the Mudkiller by Electric Eye Audio too (if you still have it), I think it's one of the best boosts we have nowadays;
Also, not sure if I'm biased as the owner of one but the Precision Drive takes the cake. A TS9 with some juice, and a bit of eq shaping like the Grind. Perfect.
Great video! Always fun to see if people can pick out differences in gear with their ears only. Might've been cooler if he didn't know exactly what pedals were on the board before going blindfolded
@Wrong One from what I’ve read on forums the tubescreamer works better with single coil pickups and the sd1 works better with humbuckers but either way they both sound great
What no 5150 overdrive lol, I always have trouble picking just 1 drive pedal. My line up on my pedalboard is a Ibanez Nu-tube screamer, MXR Zakk wylde overdrive, Boss HM2, Boss SD1 and the 5150 overdrive, all through the Revv G8 (4 cable method) in the loop of a Earthquaker Swissthings pedal that has it's own adjustable 20db clean boost. It's like an addiction, can never have too many drive pedals lol.
I have a savage drive. Its the last one before they started making the 6 knob version. I have never been able to make it sound anything like yours or any other good overdrive for that matter. I have a fuzzlord doom screamer and its just lovely. I wonder if my savage drive is a defective unit.
He thought his English wasn’t that great; I think his English is pretty freaking fantastic just like yours, Ola. Nobody is perfect; hell, English is my first language and I don’t think I can speak it as well as you both. Awesome video, cheers!
If you haven't already, check his video on the EHX Metal Muff /w Top Boost. Nano gets a noise gate instead of the weird top boost, so the video should still be relevant.
@@Dral.09 That's funny. They can tell it's different, but can't explain or show it? That's not how you compare things properly. Could you provide a link or two? I bought an MM (with top boost) ages ago and I love it, so I didn't check out the Nano version. Volume + Gain as desired, ignore the top-boost, EQ at 12 o'C and just tweak the EQ from there. It just rips at B and above, just like in Ole's video. But, now I'm interested in a side-by-side comparison as well. The MM (with top boost) picks up a lot of noise through the AC adapter, amplified by my shitty house wiring. If EHX tried to 'fix' this, I suppose it's gonna sound different, depending on the Gate setting.
I love the chug tones you achieve! Question...... I have a Mesa mini rectifier. What settings, if you will, would you set the amp at for face melting tones? I have a few overdrives also to boost it. 😉 Thank You!
Ola, what are your thoughts on the Boss Blues Driver overdrive. I love the tone that comes out of that pedal and i actually use it to boost my bassguitar. Makes it sound more melodic. Perfect for my band since we only got 1 guitar player. So i was looking for a more melodic bass tone
LESSGO, another Mystery Rig!
When will you try a budda amp??
Favorite series of them all. Please do these all day every day.
ROADSTER !! 🤘🤘
Maybe not as exciting, but cheap vs expensive cables.
PS: that Solar "metal-Tele" is a MONSTER 👹 what an axe! Would love to own that one 😻 Maybe maybe...
Loves these ones. Watching someone use their ear to differentiate tones while blindfolded is awesome!
It's shocking to me Ola guessed these. Most of them sounded almost identical to the rectifier head to me. He really knows his tones
The surprise pedal was awesome. It's subtle low end boost and the more vintage-like mid-highs are extremely pleasing to hear.
Supör Uverdrive from BOOZE! ❤
That is brutiful!
Forgot Eddie Van Halen, the Fart Pedal is the true Brown Sound
I love my fart pedal
Great series of pedals to test! I liked the SD-1 and the Grind

Savage Drive is my favorite OD ever
I thought it was nice also
Best looking pedal also
Hey from Atlantic City Ola... We'd Watch Skiing with Ola... Fishing with Ola... Ola and the Roller Coastet... Anything You Do is Gold.
Ola knows his overdrives! 🤘
the boss SD-1w was my favorite
Wow.. who would have thought they sound that much different.. NICE.. Thanks Ola..
Yay, well done, Ola! I didn't think anyone could tell the difference, tbh. You do have very good ears, man!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Questions for FAQ! What would you consider your personal masterpiece? Lord’s resistance army and the sun and the moon come to mind! Also, can you do a olas learns of Aesthetics of hate by machine head?! Your the man!
Nicely done, Ola. Excellent ears AND deductive reasoning. And great to see Ola's minion in the video, too. Great job Joel! 👍🏻
I keep rewinding when you start jamming. It is my favorite. @10:03 🤪
Damn Ola !!! That was impressive! Great ear 🤘🤘🤘my favorite is ts9 .. was my first od pedal ever and I chased everything under the sun for years and I'm back to original TS9 🤘🤘
I'll never get rid of my SD-1; but, I'm really diggin that Precision Drive.
I almost sold mine but I’m glad I didn’t. It really adds some aggressive mids and treble and tightens up the bottom end
Ola: “Can I ask you to do stuff?” Haha Great job on this video and love this series. Keep them coming!
Love this series! It's awesome to see your ability to distinguish different tones.
great comparison!

This was great selection of pedals good job guys ,u did well Mr Ola u have a good ear man u know your tones well 😀 👍
Great series, Keep Mystery Rig! .... Good Fun!
Joel trying to cover up the click of the pedals killed me
Yes! Finally! I really like this series. 🤘👌🎸
we need more Mystery Rigs!
Great video, please put more videos with Joel, it is fun to watch you together
*Great to hear you play "Devil in white"!* 🙌🙌
You forgot the best overdrive though, the Seymour Duncan 805 hands down the most brutal pedal I’ve ever found and messed with.
Such a badass series. - Neal
I've watched so much will it chug that my brain goes "WILL. IT. CHUUUUUG." after you do your intro
Best series you’ve made man love it
Love how each were different from each other.
you need to make a video when you switch roles ola picks them and joel guesses the pedals/amps
That beauty of a Mesa doesn't need any OD to push it!
Actually they do! I have a Triple Rec and surely needs a little push
They may sound awesome but need a little help
Great video! Always fun to see if people can pick out differences in gear with their ears only. Might've been cooler if he didn't know exactly what pedals were on the board before going blindfolded
That savage drive sounds fucking sick!!!!!! A slight doubling pitch shift effect on top of the overdrive.
Hah very nice. :d
I could tell the grind and classic TS but didn't have a clue on the rest.
Good stuff.
My main pedals are fortin tempest and the CRACKING Kraken v4 preamp
The savage drive!! Need one
The Super Overdrive sounds surprisingly good
@Gore Groth I think you're right. It sounded amazing.
Sounded the best to me
@Wrong One from what I’ve read on forums the tubescreamer works better with single coil pickups and the sd1 works better with humbuckers but either way they both sound great
I like how Joel speaks a mixture of Swedish and English when saying what pedal Ola is going to be playing.
This shows that you love what you do for a living!
6:41 - Horizon Zero Dawn :D Great game BTW
That Roadster - boosted with SD-1 - sounds brutal!
Really like the boss overdrive
Great vid, although would've loved to see the fortin tempest in the mix too.
Forever one of my favorite guitarists
Joel's English is actually very good, only got 2 words wrong. Make him say more pedal names, Ola
Great video man, hey Ola, can you make a test for the Overdrive seymour duncan 805?
Check out Keith Merrow’s review of the 805. That is my favorite OD of all time.
@@wesliggett2454 Will do that sir!, i have a ts9 but i think the option to boost bass/middle/treble helps very much depending on your amp

This is such a cool series… „watch me guess wrong“ hahahaa
Life goal - to play half as good as Ola when he is blindfolded. That Grind sounds awesome.
Something bout those mesa amps......dam they are bad ass
Tub driver? Good one Joel! Should just call it "bath dirt"
Great series. Since you have a pretty much unlimited supply of solar guitars you should pick one basic type and install different pickups in them. Lol
5:15 He screams and then clicks it 🤣
This decided it! I must change out some pedals before Grandkids see this!
Love this series!
I love the Tub Screamer
Can't wait to get one of your axes!
More Mystery rig please !!!
Ola: It's impossible to play
Also Ola: Fuck eyes, I have fingers!
Ola and Joel! ❤️
”Classic Tub’ Screamer” satte fan mackan i halsen! 😂😂
I have a savage drive. Its the last one before they started making the 6 knob version. I have never been able to make it sound anything like yours or any other good overdrive for that matter. I have a fuzzlord doom screamer and its just lovely. I wonder if my savage drive is a defective unit.
This was rad. Fun vid
Cool thing is, none of them sucked. I have three cheap mini overdrive pedals and they all work fine for boosting...
“Ha! I got you!” 😂 Ola I’m over here! 😂
Ola always comments that people think it isn't turned on. I guess the light is really dim, or doesn't work on his TS-9
next, test a set of Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Delay and Reverb pedals.
You Killed it!
Very Impressive
Could you share you Rectifier Settings?
Thanks for the Great Videos!!!
Hi Ola.
Are you going to do a "Does It CHUGG?" video on the new Soldano Mini? ☺
Do it!
Thanks man.
Ola, I hope you’re doing a demo on the Soldano SLO Mini! For the love of God please boost it!
He thought his English wasn’t that great; I think his English is pretty freaking fantastic just like yours, Ola. Nobody is perfect; hell, English is my first language and I don’t think I can speak it as well as you both. Awesome video, cheers!
Great job
I knew that the guy gonna called it HORIZON ZERO DAWN to that pedal 🤣... I see it coming
Hi Ola, can you make a Will it chug with the Electro harmonix nano metal muff distortion??
The sd1 tone was amazing

Some classic Feared riffs!
A solid 6/5!
Hey bro any chance you can your hands on the MLC sub zero 93 silenoz amplifier and make a demo of it?
I love the tub screamer
do it with guitars next !
The “yaaaaaay” killed me 😂
Is the Boss Overdrive the best?
Yes it is sir!!!!!

Something sounded a little bit "chorus-y", maybe some slight phase difference between mics ?
8:50 i know that one! Amazon overdrive pedal 🤘
What gate are you guy's using? Also if you could do a KMA Pylon video that would be absolutely amazing!!!
4:34 does anyone know what song this riff is from?
Song : Lords Resistance Army, from the album Reject , from his band Feared
Was the tube screamer even turned on? 🤔
MYSTERY STRINGS! try different brands of the same gauge?? :D
Tub Screamer.....clean boost ?
Ola you should try some effect you’ve never had on the channel before like a univibe pedal.
Where can i get that tob screamer n the uberdrive?

Classic tub skreemer 🤘
