🙏 Bachpan me aap ko dekha hai, "hum kale hai to kya hua,, dilwale hai", naach te hue. Black and white TV, pe. Ek industrial exhibition thaa, Ahmedabad me. It was 1966, and TV was a novelty in India. But they had your song, dance clip on, for the demonstration. Still remember it. I was a 7 year old kid then, and had come with my dad. Everyone was watching your dance on such a small screen, mesmerised. Salute your talent. RIP. sir. 🙏

My pronam at Jerinaji's feet for the respect she has shown to great Junior Mehmood ji. He was a God gifted Child Artist. As a human being, he was humble and simple. As a Child Artist , he did many great films with great actors and actresses and left indelible marks on the minds of film lovers. Till today no other child artists couldnot surpass his popularity and excellence . So , he has great contribution towards the enrichment of films in the Bombay Film Industry.
He should be posthumously conferred National Award as a marvellous Child Artist. He is really deserving for that. Every Deserving artist should be paid due respect and befitting dignity for the progress of art and culture . The demise of Junior Mehmood ji at an early age is very mournful. The road he lives by should be named after his name.
Today talented children have no access to do acting in films. So talent is nipped in the bud. Thus progress of art and culture comes to standstill. So talented children should be honoured and encouraged to move forward with art and culture. So, Junior Mehmood ji should be honoured in a befitting manner posthumously to encourage other talented junior artists.
May his departed soul rest in peace. May he be born again to do more enrichment of our films. May God bless his family. May his family live in peace and happiness.
