Today we're continuing my initial exploration of the Arturia Microfreak by taking a look into the cycling envelope. This awesome little feature not only gives you a second envelope generator, but can also double as a second LFO! Enjoy the video!

I have a question about how this works and the comment section says, “RTFM ya dummy!” So I go an do that. Still confused. Then, TH-cam hits me with this video and in less than 12 minutes, I get it.
Once again, you are the man! Thank you so very much 🙏

Dude, I don’t know how you can keep making videos every day! I’m jealous!
I love seeing what you do, and keep it up if you can. I may have said it before, but for people new to synthesis a lot of your videos are very helpful.
    Be safe!

Haha thank you! I decided I wanted to do this for as close to a living as possible, so I've just dedicated all of my time to filming, editing, and improving my videos. Thanks so much for the kind words!

Much appreciated. Your clear voice and straightforward examples really help me get my head around what the MicroFreak offers.
A middle-aged string player, I thought I'd explore a basic DAWless setup (Circuit Tracks + MicroFreak) as a wind down after each day in front of a computer. I've found this synthesizer a bit overwhelming.

Thanks for the video! I guess there is no way to apply the cycling envelope to the amp, which I feel like is one of the main things you would use it for in modular - to basically be your amp envelope for quick attack percussion, etc. am I missing something or is this not possible?

what is that black tape looking strip on the top right? i see it on every microfreak video, is it really a part of it?

I believe you're referring to the tab just off of the screen. That's the little screen protector plastic that came with the microfreak. I just haven't peeled it off yet hahaha
