@@jobilliegee1298 Trey Hensley can play circles around some of these commercial, electric guitar players. Acoustic guitars require sooo much more technique & POWER to play. (Just saying)
Proud cousin of thee frank solivan:) my uncle TY (charlie smith) wrote this song years ago. You should hear it live with my uncle and Frank jammin it. You'd shit your pants !!!
+Jeff McCoy I always wanted to do this song. I asked Ty if he'd mind if I wrote a couple more verses for the recording. So... I wrote the last two verses. - F
Mom told me you added the last Couple verses. Bad ass cousin! I listen to your version all the time. When I hear you guys jam it it gives me chills!!! Love and miss you cuz!
Chris was an impressive guitar player in his teens. I used to see him onstage with the Bluegrass band 'Northern Departure" They played at the Maltby Washington Community Center once a month and even as teens, they were the featured band.
I gotta get away Just to ease my mind That woman got me runnin' crazy 'Bout to lose my mind Chorus Says she's gonna do right Swears she's gonna be good Well she says she will but won't Like I knew she would So I slam that door Said I won't be back I'm on the two days gone I've got a broken heart attack Repeat Chorus Had to break things off And get out while I could Find someone else That makes me feel like I should Repeat chorus She's gonna want me back Tryna to smooth things out I wish I could baby, But there's too much room for doubt Repeat Chorus
If memory serves - always a risky assumption - they won IBMA's Instrumental Band of the Year in 2013. Banjoist Mike Munford won the Banjo Player of the Year award, and guitarist Chris Luquette won the Emerging Artist award (not the exact title, but close enough). Three great pickers, Frank's wonderful singing - what's not to like?
Best new grass band now!
Just when you start thinkin no one can come along that is great... These guys are great!!!!!!!
One of the best guitar players I have ever heard.

That’s as about as satisfying as it gets for me🌪

Loving the mandola action!
As great as they are on recording, these guys are unreal live. If you get a chance you have to see them play!
Love that Munford!!!
I gotta get away
Just to ease my mind
That woman got me runnin' crazy
'Bout to lose my mind
Chorus
Says she's gonna do right
Swears she's gonna be good
Well she says she will but won't
Like I knew she would
So I slam that door
Said I won't be back
I'm on the two days gone
I've got a broken heart attack
Repeat Chorus
Had to break things off
And get out while I could
Find someone else
That makes me feel like I should
Repeat chorus
She's gonna want me back
Tryna to smooth things out
I wish I could baby,
But there's too much room for doubt
Repeat Chorus
Ahhh, chills at the last chorus. Keep up the good work, great song guys!!

That Chris Luquette is one talented young man!
Meet Chris when he was in northern departure. He is a great flat picker.
