Great to see guys getting excited over the 23". a lot of us fishing in land lakes and rivers dont get to see these 27"+ beasts. I'm happy just hearing the drag pull. good content, keep it up!
Big walleye is the most heart pounding fish to catch. Little walleyes are good for the table, but not great fighters. A big walleye chugging on the end of your line is one of my favorite things in the world. Nice work from a Minnesota “yankee.” 31” is my PB, hoping for a 33+” one of these days.
Here in MI we do this all the time on Lake Erie, Saginaw Bay and Lake St. Clair. We will run 4-6 rods in the rod holders and let the action happen! Glad to see you expanding your game LFG!
I've picked up several bottom bouncers on clearance and never used them. Great video to show why they make them. I'll definitely try them out with some confidence now. Badass fish you guys got. Awesome 👍😎
Cold crawlers get extremely wiggly in warm water. My dad used to put crawlers on ice the night before a fishing trip and it was very effective. I believe he learned it from the Linders back in the day reading one of their articles on Super Charged Nightcrawlers. Cool to see it in use here in this vid
We keep them in the fridge in the shop all the time. Then we have a separate cooler to keep them in with ice packs while we are fishing. Just got a couple dozen in my fridge today for the trip over to my parents tomorrow. This video reminded me to get up early and buy some more work harnesses.
I am not sure if he would read this or not but if he ever gets the chance to fish a new lake... Please go try and fish lake McConaughey Nebraska. This lake is huge and amazing. The fish there are massive and if the fish are biting you will for SURE catch a PB. The evening and night bite are amazing. I would love to see him fish this lake.
Today I've learned I have to try walleye I really want to catch a northern pike that was truly a monster quality videos on point lately I say lately but usually your videos are great
Best walleye fishing I've seen for some time. All but 2 over 20inches and a lot of them. Congratulations on your PB Justin. Ted is obviously a walleye master catcher also, hows the the northern pike. Dam!!! What a beauty.
LFG I think this whole series is a sign that you need a vacation home in northern wisconsin/minnesota/Michigan!! Then you can fish the great northern fisheries and venture into Canada every now and then!
Canada sux. Someone I was with on a trip to Rainey lake got dinged by your idiot people that patrol the water. Their rules are so lame and definitely stupid if you bring minnows from US. Luckily he was on last minnow otherwise the fine is per minnow. That lake is on the border. We fished US sane people side. They made the mistake of going to communist side. 500 bucks later. They never went back to Chanada. Even though they had licence to fish there. F that country. We should have sat on US side and casted to chanada side. Just to piss off the wardens there.
STRAIGHT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Brother! Loving this series, and shout out to Captain Ted for putting you on the juice 🫡! And Shoutout to LFDfor coming in Clutch with the assist. This deserves a Frosty Adult Beverage Gentlemen, Cheers y’all 🍻👊🏼😎
I'm with you LFG, walleyes are the king of the golden crispie's.... That being said, you have to try frying some northern pike some time. They are a pain to clean because of their annoying "Y" bones, but once you figure out how to fillet them to get rid of the "Y" bones, the meat is a white, flakey, tender, delicious fillet that runs a close second to walleyes! I would go out on a limb and say the meat is just as tasty as a crappie, but more firm like a walleye. The only draw backs are the "Y" bones and the copious amounts of slime involved in the filleting process.
Slip bobbers for walleye can be fun too. Put a few rods out, start drinking and then when a bobber goes down you gotta remember what rod was tied to what bobber 😂
I run bail open then feed um line when they bite for 3-8 seconds so they don’t just grab the worm and go. Then close the bail and check if they are still there and set the hook.
You need to come up to Ontario and fish them in the bay of quinte in the fall. It's not uncommon to get 14-16 pounders. My buddy is a guide out here if you are interested
Just fished like this for the first time two days ago and we did not catch any walleye. However we caught a 7 pound drum and a 17.5 pound channel cat.. crazy the fight on that catfish.
Awesome content. I always love something new when it comes to fishing. Nightcrawlers for massive walleye. Who knew? Well, apparently Capt. Ted. Congrats on the pb.
They were some nice Walleyes. I didn't hear you guys talk about your speed you were going? I never caught Walleyes trolling until I put a plate on my motor to slow it down, and started using bottom bouncers.
Thought I could make it through this , I mean I looked past the MH bb rod , and not using the back hook , but completely lost it when it came to the towel over the fish 😂
Should let me take you out in South Dakota catch’s tons of walleye over 30 my biggest is 39 caught multiple over 30 lots between 33-37 inchers 10-12 lbs sometimes 13-14 plus in spring and pike over 40 all day
"This might be a 30 Ted," said every person ever while reeling in their first bottom bouncer walleye. Love it.
My husband and I loved using crawler harnesses for walleye. They work so well.
Love watching your vids whenever walleye are included, caught my pb of 29” at the age of six and have been hooked on them ever since! Good stuff.
Nothing better than a good Ole LFG video after dinner LOL. Keep them coming buddy.
Capt. Ted understood the assignment for the video! Brought the juice and the energy for the video! Smash that like button just for the Captain
My first walleye i ever caught was on lake erie 33.75 inches and 12 pounds. Lake erie most walleye are about 20-22 inches
The loon calls for the bleep button was fantastic :)
doing that bottom bounce method with leeches works just as good i love it
HOLY COW, I just went to Rainy lake for the first time! LOVED IT! Can't wait to go back next summer! Gig 'em!
Been talking about trying this technique on the lake we fish yearly in Ontario. I believe this has convinced me to try it. Love this series LFG.
Great to see guys getting excited over the 23". a lot of us fishing in land lakes and rivers dont get to see these 27"+ beasts. I'm happy just hearing the drag pull.
good content, keep it up!
Very nice man this Justin and his family. I absolutely love to watch the fishing and commentary.

Sterling Park this Saturday, yay baby
What an awesome fishing trip. I love watching you all catch fish. Great job.
I've picked up several bottom bouncers on clearance and never used them. Great video to show why they make them. I'll definitely try them out with some confidence now.
Badass fish you guys got. Awesome 👍😎
They work good for catfish too.
Lindy rigs are good too
hey guys if you wanna see how to make a hook from buffalo bone and catch walleye with it in a survival situation..come over have a look..
Can’t describe the happiness I experience when a new vid from LFG pops up on my feed…

Or Calamus Reservoir. My pb came out of there 30.5 in. Never fished big Mac but I heard there are some tankers out there.
Today I've learned I have to try walleye I really want to catch a northern pike that was truly a monster quality videos on point lately I say lately but usually your videos are great
Pike are easy to catch.
Pickerel fishing. Those are really gold. The French Canadians call them Doré-Gold

It’s hilarious to see people afraid to hold a walleye. 😂
You yanks are the same way with catfish 😂
@@jamiegriffith636 no men I know are afraid to hold catfish. 😂
Taking the slime right off of them with that towel.
Just don’t try to thumb it like a bass and you should be fine!
I took a guy from the Thousand islands in NY gar fishing. Dude was terrified.
What a good time and another great video! I would love to fish up north of the border sometime!
Another PB in the books!!!! Shoulda made some WhiskerBiscuits!!!!!
Incredible day on the walleye! I think the fisheries in Ontario are better now than 10 or 20 years ago. Intense management is the key.
The lake and landscape up there looks like a fisherman's paradise. Canada 🇨🇦 ?
I love you dude, god bless you and your family! 🎣
A Fire day out looked like a lot of fun 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great video looked like a bunch of fun
Fun watching you get excited over walleye fishing. Should see you use some leeches on a drop shot or bobber. That’s real fun! Collab with Jay Siemens!
Ron Lindner created the crawler harness (lindy rig) in 1968 in the Brainerd MN area.
What a day!
STRAIGHT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Brother! Loving this series, and shout out to Captain Ted for putting you on the juice 🫡! And Shoutout to LFDfor coming in Clutch with the assist. This deserves a Frosty Adult Beverage Gentlemen, Cheers y’all 🍻👊🏼😎
That is fun stuff!
We use these a lot on Lake Erie, can be very affective after they spawn and come back to the bay's! 👍
Awesome vid! Keep it coming !
Totally new way to fish to me cool
We are all kids in our heart no matter the age, it just takes certain thing to bring it out :)
These rigs remind me of the rigs used in saltwater in the UK for flounder, dab, plaice etc.
Loons starting mating season a bit late. Still getting after it! lol
❤ 😮, 👏👏👏👍😀, congrats on such a monster walleye. New PB.

Yessir. Grind don’t stop
This is how fish most weekends lately. Minus the towel.
Used to do that in the St. Clair river in MI all the time
Well done 👍 Walleye can put up a fight! My pb is 31.5 on Lake Erie
I run bail open then feed um line when they bite for 3-8 seconds so they don’t just grab the worm and go. Then close the bail and check if they are still there and set the hook.
You should come to michigan in the spring. My biggest is thirty five.
LFG be so crazeeeeeee😅❤
You should try this technique for bass in Texas!
You need to come up to Ontario and fish them in the bay of quinte in the fall. It's not uncommon to get 14-16 pounders. My buddy is a guide out here if you are interested

The mark on the side of the fish at ~33:18 looks like a Lamprey bite. They're a plague in Champlain.
Rainey lake sits above a series of rapids/ waterfalls doubt that lamphreys could make it past them.
lost the biggest walleye of my life on a crawler harness because the hook fell out but it’s one of my favorite ways to fish walleye
Wow. Didn’t know they got that big 😮
I've only got one that was over 30 inches but I've got plenty 27in to 29in mostly on the Mississippi.
As a MN native and living in CO for a decade+…… this makes my heart warm. Keep up the authentic content my boy!!!
People who fish strictly for walleye their entire life may never catch a 29.5” and he does it in one afternoon. Incredible
Yes sir. Those might be once in a lifetime fish. My biggest is 30.5in and I doubt I'll ever top it.
Love this technique! How fast are you guys typically trolling with the bottom bouncers?
Great Lake Walleye fact. Big boys are common
Rule of thumb when it comes to bottom bouncer size is 1 oz per 10-15 feet.
Well shoot you got it down , now you gotta go devils lake in north dakota and lake oahe in south dakota/north dakota really underrated walter lakes
Nice video!
You have to come to lake erie brotha near lorain, OH & Cleveland; especially In the fall 💯 🎣 🤙
We've always called them a Lindy rig here in Minnesota. Can use a bomb weight or a bouncer like you had.
Never seen a bottom bouncer called a Lindy Rig. I those were the old lead weights that you just put on the line walking weights?
I’m 67 years old,,in the sixties and seventies,we all called that crawler rig you fished a cats paw
lets goooo!!!!
Thanks rackley
Should come up north to ice fish for massive walleyes .
Hey nice shades I was wondering what brand they were.
Thought I could make it through this , I mean I looked past the MH bb rod , and not using the back hook , but completely lost it when it came to the towel over the fish 😂
My grandpa taught me this last week when I went on Erie
You need to go great lakes fishing. We caught hogs in Lake Erie regularly.
Great great day of fishing!! Canada I assume.
The towel 🤣 just push their spines back you’ll be good 🤣
@LakeForkGuy What are those glasses your wearing?
Can we get a link for those shades? 🔥🔥🔥
Should let me take you out in South Dakota catch’s tons of walleye over 30 my biggest is 39 caught multiple over 30 lots between 33-37 inchers 10-12 lbs sometimes 13-14 plus in spring and pike over 40 all day
We call it bumping bottom in AL
Small Eye's lol I've been chasin a 10lbs ..for few months now ..7-8 Lbs 36inch is my biggest yet
2 minutes ago gang!!!! Lets goo!!!!
I love seeing a Texas boy lose his mind over giant walleye and pike it’s awesome
What brand of sunglasses are those?
Would like to see the bumper used on the bottom with a worm.
Only way to target them in the Great Lakes, trolling with the dipsey divers of coarse
🤣🤣 that’s not the only way to target them
Try nightfishing with slowly retreived jerkbaits(no jerking) when baitfish are schooling on shore ;)
A towel!? These americans wild as alwaysss
Hi 🙋♀️ ❤LFG❤👋🏻👋🏻💜👋🏻
Awesome PB walleye. Since you will go there again, will that include a catch and cook walleye...just saying.
If you ever come back to canada i can get you on some giant walleyes 10lbs plus on a rapala on shore
What was the dates you were at the lake?
I did not catch how fast he had the trolling motor going. ??
Yeah) 1st?
I love the sound of those loons
nice fish but those are common on lake erie daily
