  • 0:00 Coffe brewing with 5 sec preinfusion, 1:29 Hot water dispensing, 3:06 Filling with water, 3:49 Milk frothing.
SHORT COMPARISON: I own Lelit Elizabeth. Few months ago I borrowed Breville/Sage Dual Boiler for evaluation. Both machines are very nice.
Thermal stability, programmable buttons, possibility of frothing every time are main advantages of both machines.
Steaming is a bit better with Elizabeth but it is not big difference. Advantage of Elizabeth is cool touch steam wand - it's much easier to clean.
In Breville/Sage programmable buttons can be set for time or volumetric control. You can also set power of pre-infusion.
In Lelit you can only set time for doses control. Pressure of pre-infusion can be modified by changing steam boiler temperature.
Wide programmability is main advantage of Breville/Sage.
Water dispensing is much better in Lelit.
Sage have some nice "secondary" features (wheels lock, possibility of filling with water from the front etc).
You can pair Lelit with WiFi plug. It's not possible with Breville/Sage. Wifi plug allows your machine to properly heat up.
Durability, possible of using WiFi plug and excellent water dispensing system are main advantages of Lelit,
Lelit looks more reliable. It's made in Italy. Breville/Sage is made in China.
BUYING ADVICE. What I will buy now with my current knowledge? I will buy Lelit. My wife will buy Sage. But some baristas will buy new Mara-X :)
SHORT COMPARISON: forum.wszystko... (in Polish, but google translator works well)

Sold it out, bought a Breville Bambino for 300 bucks with 2 years of warranty. If it breaks every 2 years, it would be still cheaper than paying for high end italian machine service

@@SpektrikMusic How? Lelit Elizabeth has Steam boiler pre infusion and coffee blooming from the espresso boiler if you run it in eco mode. Not to mention you can program the Elizabeth to have more powerful steam by changing the service boiler temp using the PID. You can still get hot water out of the hot water tap on the Elizabeth if the steam/service boiler is turned off. The Lelit Elizabeth is also Better built with way way way better parts.

    • @timojohn9773
      @timojohn9773 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@kennyhills8002 all those things are possible with the DB aswell, tho. Changing boiler temp is easy with the DB aswell and flow profiling is possible with the Slayer mod. And the DB excels at temperature stability due to the double pids (boiler AND group head).
I might as well argue, that if someone as Lance Hedrick can use a BDB for years, it can't be that bad.
Both machines are great. The Lelit is probably a longer lasting machine, but the DB is also very repairable and has interesting ways to mod it and grow, without having to buy a whole new machine.

The two machine are equally plasticky inside. Both are nests of plastic tubes. You can further confirm this fact by checking Elizabeth weight is only 12 kg. As budget dual-boiler machines, corners must have been cut somewhere.
