Sir but 9th nerve comes from medulla. How does it's nucleus coming from Pons??

Inf salivatory nucleus is in pons…. IX nerve is having 4 nuclei. One you are talking abt is present in Nucleus Ambiguus in medulla which is for motor innervation of stylopharyngeus muscle
