You see 7 year old Angelina almost skip on stage, wild mane of hair, teeth missing and in a princess dress of sorts. As soon as she starts singing she mesmerizes the jury and audience and doesn't let them go until she is ready. Such an incredible performance:-)
Angelina and her family, decided not to promote her until they feel it is the right time. The label she's signed to has accepted this, so they're holding off on promoting her fully until everyone agrees to do so. Maybe when she finishes school?

Every time I sang it I felt something special about it, it's hard to explain in words. When I sang it for mom, she said that this song is nice, but that it was incredibly sad song. Angelina is a master at this. Then, of course, she has a huge toolbox with various voice tricks to pick out if she wants! She doesn't belong to the type of singer who "look at me singing"

Angelina and her family visited the USA multiple times as she was growing up and eventually relocated to Los Angeles, where she signed with Republic Records. Angelina seems very well protected by many people around her as she pushes to advance her music career. She is believed to own the masters of her recordings and possess full artistic control of her work.
@@Winedineandrhyme I had a LunchClub meeting with someone who started a record label in Nashville, and he basically taught me that labels provide at least five different levels of service, so ‘signing’ could mean any number of things. Angelina’s contract with Republic Records supposedly gives her full ownership of the recording masters and full artistic control. More recently she has continued to work with RR but has released using her own independent label.
@@dojoswitzer I don’t think she has full artistic control because I reacted to her 7th Heaven music video and she wasn’t barefoot. They purposefully censored her feet because she wasn’t barefoot. Which makes me question if the barefoot princess sold out to the record label

This one is a music video, where she appears to wear open toe shoes. I wonder if the restaurant setting creates concerns about stepping on broken glass or health code issues of wearing no shoes. After 7th Heaven, Angelina has released two more videos (Suspicious Minds and I Have Nothing) where she is again barefoot.
This is truly "girlpower"! She sings in English! That's her third language. You know she's from Norway. There, everyone speaks Norwegian. From the age of 6, Angelina READ, WRITE and SING English texts and understand what everything means! She is amazing in many ways. Angelina won Norwegian Talents (NGT), when she was 8 years old. Before she participated in AGT at 13 yo, she performed and sang on lots of scenes around our world! Most of these were for charity. She has appeared in front of 40,000 in Soul! When Quincy Jones celebrated his 85th birthday, he asked Angelina to open the concert with "Fly me to the moon"! Etc. .. However, she performed very little in the United States. Participating in AGT was a way to market her in the United States.

I also have had a difficult time with the lyrics. Nothing new for me i must admit. Recently I watched a Utube video of Billie Holidays lyrics video and it was amazing. AJ is amazing even at 7. Would love to see react to Billie video with the lyrics 😊😊😊
I think this cannot be fully appreciated unless one is familiar with the Billie Holiday recording. Billie's music style is unfamiliar to most people and so when a 7 year old sings it we sometimes assume the vocal nuances are the result of a child singing. Not true. She is reproducing Billie Holiday, one of the best and most unique jazz singers in history. This performance got their attention but I believe it was the second song when she sang without music that sealed the deal.
