Last night I read a story of enemies to lovers, and I gotta say when the characters genuinely dislike it’s really hard for me to root for their romance later… Especially when you read their POV and their inner thoughts are just as cruel as their interactions…yuck big pass! The book I read was Off-Limits Rivals by Audra Vyne
Disclaimer: Oceana's takes are too hot to handle! 😉🔥 Winnipeg - I DNF'd at 70%. This book was the size of War & Peace. Way too big for a sports romance. I thought the big reveal would be he was autistic. That was the only thing I could think of that would justify his behavior. Ali Hazelwood 🤢🤢🤢
The only one left was a huge letdown for me too. I didn’t like how there would be a reveal and I’d be like “ok, sounds good” and then a page later another reveal that completely changed everything. That happened some many times at the end of the book and it was so confusing and frustrating to me. I normal love his plot twists but not that one.
I did finish One Dark Window and gave it 1☆, there was only a teeny tiny bit of spice but the story was rubbish (for me). I did give The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston 5☆! (some brief minimal spice at the very end). Havnt gotten to A Novel Love Story, but I did buy it. A couple of my fav clean fantasy favs this year -The Wild Huntress by Emily Lloyd-Jones -Kingdom of Exiles by Maxym M Marrineau (there is a YA and an adult version, only the YA is clean)
The male character in "The Wall of Winnipeg and Me" sounds like a jerk. Actually, your description reminded me of how Ron treats a certain female character in the "Harry Potter" books. I hate that the author put those two together when he treats her so badly.
F-bombs always ruin a book for me. I don’t see the necessity of using that word.

These are my favourite videos every year!!

Exactly!
I love Melanie Dickerson and I'm 60, but I love easy to read books.
Christmas shirt 🤩
Thank you for sharing.
We have similar taste so seeing what you dislike helps me a bit not to pick something I could potentially end up dnf-ing. 😌
A novel love story has such a cool cover!
I didn’t like Drowning, either! Falling by that author is my favorite thriller, though, so maybe give that a try!
I recently bought The Only One Left as I haven't read Riley Sager. I haven't read it yet but hearing your opinion is great!
I think Ashley Poston is too smart for me 😅 I try but her descriptions of the settings, characters and their inner thoughts go above my head
I really liked All Rhodes lead home by Mariana Zepata if you want to try another one from her.

That's a shame about the Brynn and Sebastian one. I was excited when I found out it was Christian
Boy, I’m staying FAR away from Cowboy Billionaire, then. Yikes!

Love these reviews so nice to weed out the ones with lots of language and ick 🫶🏻
