FINALLY, THE RAIN IS OVER: Germany Dries Up and the Sun Returns! - Summer is Here!
The rain is currently moving eastward and by the afternoon, it will be dry across all of Germany. The east and southeast are still experiencing the longest showers. However, the coast looks promising. Today, the last showers are passing over the east, and the sun is breaking through in the west. Cool air is flowing into Germany between the high-pressure system over the British Isles and the low-pressure system near Sweden. This keeps temperatures from reaching the 30° mark, leading to a calming of the weather.
The rain from last night is moving eastward. Some regions will still experience light showers today, but these will diminish as the day progresses. The clouds will clear from the west. From the Lower Rhine to the south of Germany, we can expect blue skies with a few scattered clouds. In some places, it will be just blue skies without a single cloud. Only in the far east and southeast will there still be some lingering showers, which some may find a welcome cool down.
Temperatures will range between 18 and 26°, perfect for enjoying the sun without it being too hot. Munich and Cologne will reach a maximum of 24° today, Berlin 23°, and Hamburg 21°. On Thursday, the entire country will enjoy summer weather, but by Friday, new rain clouds will appear in the northwest. On Saturday, thunderstorms will spread out, moving to the southeast on Sunday, with local severe weather possible.
