  • In this video Luke is roasting coffee on the Aillio Bullet with our head roaster Zac. They will be talking you through the roasting process and showing you how intuitive and easy it is and what applications it has for commercial coffee roasters like us or the hobbyist at home.
For those unfamiliar with the Aillio Bullet it is a professional-grade coffee roaster designed for use at home or as a sample roaster in a commercial environment. It is a powerful, electric roaster that uses advanced technology to produce high-quality, consistent results through electromagnetic induction heating.
We hope you enjoy this video and if you have any questions be sure to leave us a comment. Thanks for watching!

It's rare to get a longer video on something like this that doesn't descend into mindless blabbering to fill in time. This was clearly presented with valuable insights on roasting as a whole, along with the Bullet itself. I'm considering a purchase, and it's very helpful to get a video of this quality. Thank you.

I have an Aillio Bullet. I've had it for about 12 months. I still have so ,much to learn about roasting as a home hobby roaster. My first roaster was Behmor. 1kg is amazing I have only done 3kg back to back so far.

Very much enjoyed Zac's knowledgeable input. I'm sure the short program with the Aillio Bullet barely scratched the surface of his coffee roasting expertise, but the man obviously 'knows stuff.'
While the Aillio Bullet looks like a snazzy home roaster, I find it's application as a small batch coffee roaster for fine-tuning industrial size roasters interesting.
Can you involve Zac in future discussions of coffee roasting mechanics with respect to general pitfalls in coffee roasting and also the effects of scaling up from Aillio small batch processes and how that translates to large batch (industrial) roasting. Ask this as a (once upon a time) chemical engineer, as scale ups from laboratory quantities to intermediate to industrial scales are most often a bit complicated (the thermodynamics of volume effects, etc.) and challenging. Nothing fancy, just general observations pertaining to scaling up quantities.

Yes we are looking to do this, it’s never a direct easy scale to follow. We are still assessing this for our selves and will release this when we have happier in explaining it. Cheers luke

Ah, Artisti’s new production machine! 😁
Interesting to (finally) watch a video on roasting! 👍
(Oops, I’ve missed the first video. I’ll watch it later)

Great Video - really appreciate the effort that went into creating it. Have a question. I will passive vent my Allio in my garage to the outside. I did not see a vent tube for the drum - is it not needed in your big open area? Does the cooling process not produce much smoke?

Do you mark first crack as soon as you hear the first pop or do you wait to hear at least a few closely happening pop ?
Would love to see more videos about this roaster, like how you profile new beans depending on processing, density etc :)

    Hi Artisti,
I have been watching many of your videos recently and I am wondering what dine-in cups you are using for your cafe?
    Thanks.
