You're right. But the roster is all-time trash tier, yet the Spurs were rarely blown away. The team statistics differentials when Wemby is off the court vs when he is on the court is otherworldly, his impact is just that absurd

Nobody think about this but I think having background of football is somehow useful for basket ball and vice versa.
Playing as a goal keeper helped him a lot : he reads the ball trajectories very well and both arms are fast and accurate.
