I am doing my MBA because I don't want to work in IT and coding anymore. If someone who wants to transition into a different role MBA helps in that. I have earned enough money to finance my MBA, so I can do that. In fact when you progress in your career ahead most of the people do executive MBAs, it helps them in getting into decision making and management role quickly. My cousin has become manager in 7 years after working in IT after he did an executive MBA from MDI. If he would have kept working without MBA then it would have taken almost 12-15 yrs to get into managerial role.
Eighty percent of MBA jobs are sales jobs, while only 20 percent are finance jobs, may be if you want to go in finance do an MBA if you want to run companies tomorrow as leaders, though a B com is enough to read balance sheets, but I fail to understand for a sales manager job graduation should be enough. People can read case studies for there whole life to learn. MBA full form should be MAAL BIKA AAJ, there is so much pressure to sell by hook or crook. All they want is that you should sell the product some how regardless of your education. Pvt bank employees after doing MBA are selling loans. People are being forced to do MBA because they want campus placement which is provided by these MBA colleges. The worlds top 6 companies like Apple, Google, IBM etc has started recruiting people for software jobs without having any college degree, if you have learnt the software languages yourself by self study or through books, and you know the language and they will recruit you. All that they want is knowledge of the required language, no formal degree is required. Even one of infosys top management person told that for software jobs high school education is enough plus if you have learn the particular languages. MBA is a useless degree particularly for sales job. A hype has been created around this course by private colleges just to earn money. Education should be skill based or vocational which serves some purpose. Only people doing MBA from top institutions get jobs and if you are unable to sell the product or meet targets you will be kicked out regardless of your MBA.

मैं बिल्कुल असहमत हूं आपसे...पहले आप लोग ये तय कीजिए की मुद्दा शैक्षणिक लोन का है या एमबीए की डिग्री का है। आप अगर प्रमुख रूप से देखेंगे तो इंजीनियरिंग क्षेत्र में आज भी अधिकतर नौकरियां सिर्फ आई टी क्षेत्र की हैं। इसलिए कोर ब्रांच और अधिकतर साधारण स्नातक वाले छात्रों के पास दो ही विकल्प होते हैं मुख्यतः एक सरकारी नौकरी की तैयारी दूसरा एमबीए या कोई और प्रोफेशनल कोर्स जब तक कोर और साधारण स्नातक की नौकरियों में कमी रहेगी छात्र मजबूरन एमबीए करेंगे , और वो सफल भी हो रहे हैं क्योंकि कई बैंक हैं जो सिर्फ एमबीए डिग्री अभ्यर्थियों को वरीयता प्रदान करते हैं। इसके अलावा भी कई नए क्षेत्र एमबीए अभ्यर्थियों के लिए खुल चुके हैं। इसलिए कृपया भ्रम न फैलाएं।

Personal Opinion - The problem is not in MBA, the problem is with the students - a vast majority do not study well, they forget even basics, leave alone the ability of applying the concepts to solving real world problems - in my personal experience - the quality of IIMs is not great, Other Tier II colleges were better...any so called average college MBA has the power to help a person transform and shine, its for the person to make it happen. Think again....the same books are used across all MBA- whether you study at Harvard, Stanford or any other....today's books are so good that if you combine the knowledge of the books, with say, Yahoo Finance, and think creatively, even an MBA from a humble college can achieve good career.. its the passion that creates the distinction...

@@Anilverma-ls2cl no , I know of students who did engineering from regular colleges and because of their marks and performance in interviews got jobs in top government or private sector companies , like L&T , TATA, ISRO etc. The private sector is now entering areas like defence , AI etc , they are more in need of engineers and scientists not administrators.
No college teach skills. The companies take students from college and train them in their jobs. Otherwise there are plenty of institutes which take huge course fee to impart skills and once again you have to compete for jobs. Even there is huge competition for skilled people. Typical mba mindset. Now they have hired a engineer ceo. The MBA ceo was busy in cost cutting, and thinking of shareholders only compromising the safety of the 737 max and overruling engineers concerns. Intel also recently kicked out there MBA ceo and brought in a engineer ceo, he was busy in cost cutting and reducing expenditure on research and thinking of shareholder value only because of which Intel has fell behind it's competitors badly. Companies like Intel thrive because of research and innovation only.

Done my BCA grad in 70K totally. Now earning more than sharma ji ka ladka who did B.tech + CAT expensive preparation + MBA from another city and spent more than 30L in total. Now sharma ji don't visit our home often 😂😂😂 P.S I joined MNC just after 3 years of my graduation. Sharma ji ka ladka did btech for 4 years. Waste another 1 year for CAT and then 2 years in MBA By the time he joined MNC I was his senior in terms of employment hierarchy having 4+ years of experience and more exposure to the Industry 😀 The best thing is I did not bother my lower middle class parents for expensive studies as I did my graduation in my hometown. 😀

I am doing my MBA because I don't want to work in IT and coding anymore. If someone who wants to transition into a different role MBA helps in that. I have earned enough money to finance my MBA, so I can do that. In fact when you progress in your career ahead most of the people do executive MBAs, it helps them in getting into decision making and management role quickly.
My cousin has become manager in 7 years after working in IT after he did an executive MBA from MDI. If he would have kept working without MBA then it would have taken almost 12-15 yrs to get into managerial role.

People can read case studies for there whole life to learn. MBA full form should be MAAL BIKA AAJ, there is so much pressure to sell by hook or crook. All they want is that you should sell the product some how regardless of your education. Pvt bank employees after doing MBA are selling loans. People are being forced to do MBA because they want campus placement which is provided by these MBA colleges. The worlds top 6 companies like Apple, Google, IBM etc has started recruiting people for software jobs without having any college degree, if you have learnt the software languages yourself by self study or through books, and you know the language and they will recruit you. All that they want is knowledge of the required language, no formal degree is required. Even one of infosys top management person told that for software jobs high school education is enough plus if you have learn the particular languages. MBA is a useless degree particularly for sales job. A hype has been created around this course by private colleges just to earn money. Education should be skill based or vocational which serves some purpose. Only people doing MBA from top institutions get jobs and if you are unable to sell the product or meet targets you will be kicked out regardless of your MBA.

मैं बिल्कुल असहमत हूं आपसे...पहले आप लोग ये तय कीजिए की मुद्दा शैक्षणिक लोन का है या एमबीए की डिग्री का है। आप अगर प्रमुख रूप से देखेंगे तो इंजीनियरिंग क्षेत्र में आज भी अधिकतर नौकरियां सिर्फ आई टी क्षेत्र की हैं। इसलिए कोर ब्रांच और अधिकतर साधारण स्नातक वाले छात्रों के पास दो ही विकल्प होते हैं मुख्यतः एक सरकारी नौकरी की तैयारी दूसरा एमबीए या कोई और प्रोफेशनल कोर्स जब तक कोर और साधारण स्नातक की नौकरियों में कमी रहेगी छात्र मजबूरन एमबीए करेंगे , और वो सफल भी हो रहे हैं क्योंकि कई बैंक हैं जो सिर्फ एमबीए डिग्री अभ्यर्थियों को वरीयता प्रदान करते हैं। इसके अलावा भी कई नए क्षेत्र एमबीए अभ्यर्थियों के लिए खुल चुके हैं। इसलिए कृपया भ्रम न फैलाएं।

Personal Opinion - The problem is not in MBA, the problem is with the students - a vast majority do not study well, they forget even basics, leave alone the ability of applying the concepts to solving real world problems - in my personal experience - the quality of IIMs is not great, Other Tier II colleges were better...any so called average college MBA has the power to help a person transform and shine, its for the person to make it happen. Think again....the same books are used across all MBA- whether you study at Harvard, Stanford or any other....today's books are so good that if you combine the knowledge of the books, with say, Yahoo Finance, and think creatively, even an MBA from a humble college can achieve good career.. its the passion that creates the distinction...

The MBA ceo was busy in cost cutting, and thinking of shareholders only compromising the safety of the 737 max and overruling engineers concerns. Intel also recently kicked out there MBA ceo and brought in a engineer ceo, he was busy in cost cutting and reducing expenditure on research and thinking of shareholder value only because of which Intel has fell behind it's competitors badly. Companies like Intel thrive because of research and innovation only.

Phele aise nhi hota tha neutral criteria hota tha , likin 2014 se in iim walo se sb change kar dya .

मेरा ऐसा मानना है कि व्यस्क होने के पश्चात वास्तविक शिक्षा स्वयं पढ़कर ही लेनी पड़ती है ! केबल नित्य प्रति आने वाली कठिनाइयों का समाधान मिलना चाहिए तो विद्यार्थी स्वयं ही पढ़ सकता है ! सरकार को चाहिए कि अन्य सभी प्रकार के कोर्सेज जैसे स्नातक और परास्नातक की तरह केंद्रीय स्तर पर पत्राचार द्वारा ऑडियो वीडियो माध्यम से ऐसे कोर्सेस शुरू किए जाने चाहिए !! फिर समय अनुकूल एक राष्ट्रव्यापी एकीकृत परीक्षा लेकर विद्यार्थियों को अंक तथा ग्रेडिंग प्रदान करनी चाहिए !! आखिर बी ए, एम ए, बीकॉम, एमकॉम, बीएससी, एमएससी तथा सीए और सीएस की डिग्रियां भी इसी प्रकार मिलती हैं !!

Done my BCA grad in 70K totally. Now earning more than sharma ji ka ladka who did B.tech + CAT expensive preparation + MBA from another city and spent more than 30L in total.
Now sharma ji don't visit our home often 😂😂😂
P.S I joined MNC just after 3 years of my graduation.
Sharma ji ka ladka did btech for 4 years. Waste another 1 year for CAT and then 2 years in MBA
By the time he joined MNC I was his senior in terms of employment hierarchy having 4+ years of experience and more exposure to the Industry 😀
The best thing is I did not bother my lower middle class parents for expensive studies as I did my graduation in my hometown. 😀
