지난 8월, 두 번째 미니 앨범 [SHINING UP]을 통해 초동 7만 장 이상의 앨범 판매고와 음원 차트 최상위권 진입, 음악방 송 1위 후보 등 더욱 다채로운 기록을 경신했던 템페스트가 세 번째 미니 앨범 [ON and ON]으로 2개월 만 초고속 컴백을 알리며 거침없는 성장세를 이어간다.
현재에 안주하지 않고 꿈을 향해 비상(飛上)하겠다는 포부를 드러낸 세 번째 미니 앨범 [ON and ON]은 ‘우리’가 함께 만 든 새로운 세계로 쉬지 않고 나아가겠다는 템페스트의 강력한 의지를 담았다. 총 4곡이 수록된 이번 앨범에는 서로에게 용 기와 구원이 되어주는 ‘우리’의 존재를 노래하며, 더 넓은 세계로 거침없이 나아가고자 하는 템페스트의 이야기가 고스란 히 담겨 있다. 멤버 LEW와 화랑이 타이틀곡 및 수록곡 작사에 참여해 이와 같은 템페스트만의 서사를 공고히 했음은 물론, 지난 앨범에 이어 템페스트가 가진 ‘소년미’와 ‘성숙미’를 동시에 드러내는 트랙들이 눈길을 끈다.
타이틀곡 ‘Dragon'은 강렬한 사운드가 인상적인 Hybrid Trap 장르의 곡으로, 더욱 높이 날아오르는 용의 모습을 ’꿈’에 빗대어 표현한 곡이다. “Dragon 날아 fly high / 기세를 몰아 높이 날아올라 / 휘몰아친 열기 / 턱 끝까지 넘친 숨 거침없 이” 가사에 한층 더 성숙해진 소년들의 거침없는 포부와 기세를 담았다.

the melody is so catchy and all members did very well in this mv from dance, vocal, rap to visual. But Hanbin makes me scream all the time because of his highnote with Hyuk in the bridge part. I love his unique voice!!!

Ngay khi Mv phát hành tôi gần như phát điên vì phấn khích. Omg, tôi đã bị cuốn vào và không thoát ra được. Thậm chí tôi đã nổi da gà khi họ lên những nốt cao, đoạn rap và những động tác nhảy đầy mạnh mẽ. Khắc sâu trong trí nhớ bây giờ của tôi là lúc Eunchan kết thúc mọi thứ thật sự đỉnh của chóp!!!

Producer xịn xò có cái base nhạc dày ,drop thì cực sung nhóm thì hát quá tốt giọng của Hyuk 2 chuyển thanh cứ đc gọi là mượt ,giọng Hanbin có chất giọng sẵn r cần luyện thanh thêm ,rapp nhóm này ko chê vào đâu được có Tearea giọng cực ngầu ,kỹ thuật rapp của Hwa với Lew ổn định ( chất ) rồi Gen 4 mà có giọng hát vibe gen 2 Album lần này thành công là có lý do thôi :))) .

So với 2 lần trước, bài title lần này đủ fire, đủ high, đủ trình để Tpst có thể bùng nổ skills. Dragon có thể không phải gu t, nhưng không thể phủ nhận nó đã làm tròn vai trò của một title song, đem lại sự bùng nổ cho Tpst. Qua bài này ai cũng có thể thấy được sự tiến bộ lớn từ Tpst ( trừ lũ anti), Tpst- một nhóm nhạc đa concept và dám thử cái mới và concept nào cũng làm rất tốt.
