Whenever there's a character with plenty of Lawls wanting to make them, it's incredibly satisfying when someone manages to finally pull it off, and this Squidward moveset is no exception. It's great how you managed to get some of the key elements of his character in the moveset, including his clarinet playing and his paintings which belong in the trash, and Side and Up B certainly helped to make him stand out, coming from very memorable Squidward-centric episodes. The Final Smash was also really clever, and so were all of the victory poses (seriously, each one of them made me laugh out loud).
As someone who made a crappy Squidward moveset years ago on D Kess, I am so happy to see him get the justice he deserves. At first I thought he was a bit lacking, but as the set went on the possibilities became endless. Bouncing your notes off the painting, sucking them back if they miss, sucking and moving your painting, using the explosion to catch people off guard and launch em with the leaf blower, and attacks like them having attacks that can hurt Squidward fit so well for him. I can't think of a better way to represent him. Thank you so much for an awesome set (and love the Odyssey shoutout with Gary).
This was a triumphant return for Lawl MAD, and Squidward also finally got his talent recognized with this awesome moveset! I do like how Squidward's clarinet plays notes that not only work as projectiles but also damage opponents too close to him while he plays it, as well as the options for the bomb pie to throw it or have it explode on him, which gives him great defense. Additionally, I liked the functionality of the reef blower as both a recovery move and projectile/trap sucker and how his artwork is used like a wall so the other fighters can't get to Squidward as easily. The FS was also a nice surprise (with a neat Nosferatu cameo to start it off), I wasn't expecting Squidward's Culture Shock show to be the FS, but it works well with how Squidward has his (no) talent recognized but the opponents are the ones who get the jeers from his audience while he dances (and having a mini stage in there while he dances was also a nice touch). I really do like the attention to detail throughout, from using the bubble transitions from SpongeBob in the neat intro showing Squidward finally getting his chance at stardom to the Tentacle Acres stage filled with key locations from Squidvile and Squidward's Sweet Victory option. The victories were a lot of fun as well, especially those where he wins against SpongeBob and Patrick, and I also liked seeing Cartoon Ganon's regular attacks (particularly how he grabs the opponent with his magic and the up throw where he places them inside a magic bubble). I would say Squidward has the best moveset yet for Lawl MAD so far, and I really look forward to the next things it has to offer!
great moveset! i wonder if squidwradt is next no for real this was a perfect moveset for squidward, referencing his best moments as a character. the animations were great, and the final smash is genuinely the best option you could've given squidward, i was laughing my ass off. same with the squidward tortellini victory screen, my god amazing, definitely the moveset squidward deserves, you should be proud of this peez
Holy fuck, best Squidward moveset easily. Not only are the visuals better than ever before, but Squidward being a slow zoner with great kill potential absolutely fits him like a glove. Personal favorite being Side-B, a move that's outright hilarious while still fitting his playstyle, with a lil bit of risk if you think your opponent might rush you down. I love the common theme of his art and talent being so hated that it actively hurts his opponents, especially his final smash (excellent choice there btw). Combined that with the huge visual improvement and I'm so happy that MAD returns with a straight up amazing moveset for our favorite squid. Beautiful work
This moveset was absolutely phenomenal! It’s simply perfect, and there’s no other way of putting it. Squidwards Playstyle suits him perfectly, using zoning tools and high knockback attacks to represent being introverted by keeping enemies away, but being slow to be an opposite to SpongeBob’s fast and eccentric personality and to give a reason for Squidward to stay away from direct conflict. It’s genius! The moves are all perfectly selected, with Neutral B being a perfect yet simple way of showcasing Squidwards hobby of sour clarinet playing, with him being able to keep playing constantly and pressure opponents with projectiles unless someone shushes(hits) him. Side B being from an iconic Squidward episode, and a strong tool for getting kills at a distance, with a comedic second option as a resort to keep enemies away from him with a powerful blow. Up B being from another iconic episode with Squidward, showing a non-grouchy side to him for his personality, and a way to deal with other characters projectiles for his Playstyle. Down B is probably my favorite special move aside from side B, as it perfectly shows something never truly represented in the other Squidward movesets, his love of his egotistical art he creates. It damaging opponents by them not seeing it the way Squidward does is a perfect way of phrasing it. It’s a great way to keep enemies away, and it lets Squidward use Stage control to assure he can continue to stay zoned easy from others. The Final Smash was absolutely genius, with his talent being shunned as his strongest making perfect sense, I knew Tomatoes were going to attack the stage in response to Squidwards dancing. The Ko sounds were hilarious, Ganons attacks were cool to watch, Squidwards taunts and victories were perfectly picked and fun to watch, And that’s not even mentioning how the animation improved EVEN MORE, with all the new or revamped idles for every character looking absolutely stunning. Overall, this was the greatest Squidward moveset I’ve ever seen, one of the greatest movesets I’ve ever seen, and a great way to return to this community. I’m really excited for Hotel Mario. Looks incredibly promising. 10/10, amazing job.
When's Squiwradt? NOW'S SQUIWRADT. Finally a moveset for squiddy that doesn't suck ass, Squidward now has the justice and a definite moveset that cannot be topped! I loved every second of this set. This is literally the most perfect moveset you could've given him. Neutral B was p obvious from the start and it was so satisfying seeing the Reef Blower as his Up B. The other two which I did not expect were creative and funny as hell, especially the Side special. Though arguably, the most creative move has to be the final smash! Literally encapsulates Squidward's ultimate move in the most creative and perfect way imaginable. Victory screens were great as well, the first one is a favourite (as it's a much better version than Got Talent's lol) and it was really charming seeing special victory interactions between Spongebob and Patrick. I'd also want to point out the intro for the set, I absolutely loved seeing everyone clapping (and the Evangelion reference lmao) But yeah overall, fantastic moveset my friend! Worth the wait Now if you'd exc wait is that a ca-
Man, we got 3 Nickelodeon characters with movesets in the span of one month. Crazy. Coincidences aside, this was a pretty solid moveset and a profound representation of Squidward that got some laughs out of me. Good to see you in the saddle again.
We waited a long time for this, 2 years to be exact, and... Well? It was worth the wait, THANK YOU! You portrayed Squidward perfectly here, and all I gotta say is thank you for the wait worth waiting
Pretty nice to see MAD return with another quality set. Everything here clicks with the character and this is definetely the best Squidward Set we've gotten so far. Not sure what else to say, nice job.
Our Lord of Pizzas has returned! Praise be unto him! Jokes aside, I've missed Lawl MAD, and this was a fun moveset to come back to. Squidward's Final Smash was definitely the best part of the moveset, but I also really liked the intro. Can't wait for CD-I/Hotel Mario.
This is really really good! I’m so happy to see you return, and this was an excellent way to do so! My only issue with this moveset is that I think creating a painting takes too long. But outside of that? This is very well done, an excellent representation of Squidward’s character, and the victory animations are absolutely perfect.
this can't be happening! i don't believe it! but wonderful moveset dude! perfectly fitting for the shut in that squidward is and a good mix of both his most notable traits, and iconic moments! all in all you can't leave me here i still gotta finish komasan
Welcome back! Great moveset, but I have a suggestion -make it so you can move with the reef blower, but need to press A to suck and B to blow, which can cause a windbox if there's nothing in it. -basically just add wind to the reef blower, that's it. Or add stun to the begining of neutral B
HOLY COW!!! after 2 years of nothing. We finally got a good Squidward Moveset and it was amazing! I love how you use early episodes of SpongeBob for the moves and it’s so nostalgic to look back to those episodes. The animation was mind blowing and really have improved. Honestly, I’m so happy that my favorite Lawl series is back and I can’t wait to see the Future of Lawl Mad!!
You ever just look at a character and see potential with every move that gets shown off? That's Squidward right here. Him being a Zoner fits pretty well, and at first he's a simple one at that. But just like with his talent, you gotta look deeper and see all the extra stuff each move does. The big one that shouted out to me was his wall: is it just me or is that like, the blatantly best wall move in any Lawl ever?? Like, its got a standard 30 percent sure, but the fact its so easily movable with his reef blower makes it so much more strong. I think at most usual Lawl characters just kick them around or they're static. Then you add on the fact that Squidward can IMMEDIATELY shoot a projectile out before or after with the reef blower, and follow up with a sour note or just hold it down and rack up damage as they bounce off the wall, and end it off with any of the pie kabooms..The more you think about it the crazier it gets I do wish there was a visual or mechanic where you could choose what to fire out (Im assuming it just goes in order of what you have from the start). But that'd probably be too much haha I also gotta shout out the camera work, especially the ending shot of the new stage scrolling over each section before starting taunts. It was quick, concise and really smoothly done! This was well worth the wait, you did a fantastic job o/
That is a great moveset for Squidward Tortellini. I am not going to go too much into it because others have said everything else, but my only nitpick is the specials didn't have any modern spongebob references. Again, it's a minor nitpick and I am very very happy with this moveset. Good job.

I'm assuming the "Sweet Victory" victory animation only plays under special circumstances
I assume it plays if he wins with his Final Smash
