Hey Matt, you can use engine plates at 4:52 instead of the old engine-decoupler-fairing structure when the engine size doesn't match the fuel container size. Keep up the cool vids!!
Ambient light is the reason I downloaded planetshine in the first place, and also why I feel a need to keep it. Sure, the darkness doesnt actually make anything harder... but it does make things boring.
Matt, I know I’m commenting pretty late on this vid but I have to say that I’m a big fan. Because of your videos I got back into ksp and now have over 515 hours in game. I always try to recreate your crafts in my space program and I would just like to thank you for how much joy and inspiration your channel has brought me.
wow a place on the internet where i can download something first time without getting a million ads or a fake download named ''your file'' i allways thought the ads were part of mega but there not
Where are you sending the rover? What were you thinking when you finished the rover? Does it flipped over easily? What celestial bodies does it supposed to be in? I'm not asking How or why, right?
Not sure what was available back in these days but they've made struts detachable as an action now, so you can set them to pop at certain points in a controller's routine or just on an action group key. For those still playing ksp 1 :)
Well done with that Audible ad, I didn't suspect anything until you "plugged" in the headphones. Thanks for the space station, and the fun! The build -> Launch meter was also fun.
Never liked how you're forced to start with a crew and move to probes, you can't even begin with planes...granted Kerbals are a species of *ABSOLUTE MAD LADS* so.
Using the suit that Val was wearing, you can also set the color to show the classification of the Kerbal (Pilot, Engineer, Scientist) by messing with the light colors. The light color affects the suit, so when the light is on by default it's the orange-ish glow, but it can be made anything else by the sliders. I like to follow the Star Trek TNG/24th century model of the Engineers having yellow suit lighting, scientists having blue suit lighting, and pilots having red suit lighting.
As much as I approve of H2G2 being narrated as an audiobook by Stephen Fry - I would like to recommend the original radio series, they are absolutely amazing, and a great way to pass the time in long car journeys. they are after all the original and intended way to experience the series.
Very cool. I was a big fan of the robotics mod so it's cool to see you use hinges now they're in stock. One minor suggestion; for the 4 components that decoupled the struts, you could have used a cockpit and a parachute instead and call them escape pods (plus maybe a heat shield...)? You'd undock them to break the struts then just dock them back on. It'd be like the titanic. Max capacity for 40 and escape craft for 4.
In regards to the strut problem: I am working on a rather large project where I build a space plane that is designed to be a satellite lifter with a proper deployment arm. I was thinking about the strut problem and the solution I found is to add decouplers inside the plane, then strutting those to the payload
...best. audible. ad. ever. i think you would be good at doing commercials. a good commercial has to be memorable, slightly funny and straddle "the line". so far, the ads you create, like this audible one, are exactly what commercials should be.
Ok, I just got breaking ground and I already ran into some problems. The parts work fine alone. But for example, if you put one hinge on another or any other robotic part, both parts don't work and start to shake back and forth. Don't know if it is just me but if someone has worked their way around this problem any help would be nice
