- We set out on 12 days with Contiki to discover what Ecuador has to offer. What we found blew us away, to say the least. From the epic encounters of the Galapagos Islands to the raw beauty of the Amazon Rainforest, the diversity offered by this small South-American country left us wanting more.
We check out Quito and the Amazon Rainforest as well as the epic Pailon del Diablo just outside of Baños.

In 2013, August Reiger, a recent high school valedictorian from Oklahoma City disappeared in Banos while hiking with his family. My family knew August- my wife had taught him, I had carpooled him, and he was the older brother of my son's best friend. He was a quality person, with a fantastic future ahead of him, but he was never found. Ever since then I've felt drawn to travel to Banos.
Incredible video mate. I hadn't considered Ecuador too much for my SA travels but definitely am now, especially Banos!

And yes, well spotted. That was a drone hyperlapse of the clouds. Some of them are just long videos I took and then sped up.

Ecaudor is one of the cheapest countries in South America! The Galapagos is slightly more expensive though

@Heidi K I was born and raised there (Guayaquil), so it does sound a bit annoying to hear it be mispronounced. But Listen I'm just being extra hahaha.
I have also lived most of my life in the UK so our T's are pronounced a bit too much lol
