At 11:30 , the midget shepherd has an important lesson to the young priest...that the more one pulls on it, "it" gets larger and stiffens!"

What a great movie by Buñuel! It is a pity that only a medium-length film was made. Buñuel was an atheist and this film is a mockery to those fanatics with a series of nonsense and complexes with religion in this Catholic case. An Immaculate Simeon the Stylite or Simon of the Desert on a column, is tempted by the devil, in this case played by the beautiful actress Silvia Pinal, showing her the beautiful legs and her breasts, beautiful demon. There is a phrase that says Simon when questioning a disciple after persuading him "as you have forgotten the precept that says, do not put your eyes on any woman and do not let yourself be seduced by the look of a female and above all do not let yourself burn under contemplation empty". In the end, Simon is seduced by the devil and Simon and the devil go to New York on a jet plane and end up in a disco, where there are several young people dancing rock and roll as if they were electrified ha ha ha, that's black humor.

Jesus Himself said: "There is none good but one, that is, God" (Matthew 19:17). Human self-righteousness is, before God, as filthy rags.
Here's the thing: you can't be a Christian and be self-righteous. The gospel calls us to confess our unrighteousness and to trust fully in the righteousness of Christ. Christianity and self-righteousness are entirely incompatible. We are fully dependent on Christ's righteousness.
Matthew 6:1 - “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.”
