Any tips for an 07 Columbia dash that needs a complete rebuild? I mean, I don't think there's even a place to fasten the bracket behind the dash piece to...all broken away. The dash is just hanging there.
It all starts with a key piece called the “skeleton”. About 100 bucks from Miamistar.com. Originally I was just going to replace that one piece but as I disassembled the dash, another piece broke so I ended up buying a replacement part for 90% of the entire dash. Once you break it all down and start with a new skeleton it’s all plug and play from there.
This is kind of a BS video because there is no wiring or plumbing inside the dash for some reason but this should give you some idea of where to begin: th-cam.com/video/Z_JtFSW-hZk/w-d-xo.html
@@StrangeFilmsLtdk. Ya was just reading other comments and saw you say Miami place. Thanks for reply About how much did it cost you to renovate all that?
Did you Install carbon fiber on dash panel ? If so could you please attach link on Bottom and other link where you bought the missing Pieces I have a same truck that I’m working on and I have a hard time finding pieces thank you
Miami Star is THE place for every dash piece you'll need! Miamistar.com ( miamistar.com/collections/interior-parts-and-accessories-dashboard-trims-and-accessories/ )The carbon fiber is just a vinyl wrap material I purchased at my local auto parts store and covered the existing plates.
Where & who did the rebuild I have an 03 century wanting to do same. Yes I know Miami star is the place to get parts. Trying to find someone to build cabinets & redo my walls & install system...
Jose Caballero I did everything myself. I didn’t build any new cabinets however, I just covered the existing cabinets with the carbon fiber wrap. Same for the interior panels.
Best I can estimate is somewhere between 1000 and 1200 including all the chrome accessories. The dash parts were surprisingly cheap. The door panels were the most expensive at $300 each.
i heard the place in Miami is the best to get the parts. Question. They are not plastic like the OEM? They are all fiberglass / carbon fiber pieces? I guarantee my dashboards look worse than yours did!
@@dariustotten7899 you know, it has been a few years since I did that but at the time my local dealer said those nets were about 4 to 6 months on back order. Maybe I’ll try again soon.
Man, all of you asking questions and part numbers, just call Transchicago Freightliner out of Elmhurst Illinois, ask the parts guy to email the BOM for the dash. It's an exploded parts diagram with every single dash piece, with freightliner part numbers included. Don't make life harder, call and get a diagram and then Google the part numbers.
My man! That is an excellent idea! I wish someone would’ve suggested that to me when I got started on this project. Hopefully someone reads this and it helps them out with theirs. Thank you!
@@StrangeFilmsLtd, yeah bro, I know it gets tiring for you to keep commenting part numbers for every person who asks. I have a coronado glider, Transchicago Freightliner emailed every BOM for the truck, dash, interior, sleeper, hood, body, lights, etc, I need a part, I open the email and find the piece and part #. But your video was helpful, the dash looks 🔥 and gave me some new ideas on my dash refresh, thank you brother.
Been looking to redo my dash in my columbia, your truck looks great bro, and your info on where to get the material helps me. So Thank you
have u found anything?
@ajolivares2641 I found the control switch panel core support, but that's about it
Man U r a life saver that looks amazing
That looks awesome. My Coronado is brand new and would consider doing that!!
Looks like some gangster shit!
Exellent job 👌
How to replace a dashboard panel in my freightliner columbia 2004
Does that steering wheel tilt all the way down like in the freightliner classics or is that just a standard steering column?
Steering wheel tilts and telescopes. As far as I'm aware that's standard in columbia/century and Coranado
Wow 👌 I love it bro
Where did u get all the parts I’m doing the exact thing
Miamistar.com for all structural dash parts. Various other sites for the chrome accessories.

Where can I buy a complete dash board for a 2002 freightliner Columbia
Www.miamistar.com is where I got mine.
What about that carbon fiber tape or wrap you used?
That can be purchased at your local auto parts store. The larger pieces I had to order online. It’s easy to find in any color you like.
Is this a kit or custom?
How does it look a year later
