I'm from Ireland and I want Ailsha to go even if its last place final. If anything it will bring the thought of the Irish language back in adult eurovision, backing it all the way
It's Bambie Thug 'Doomsday Blue' for me, I think it's very special, so different, the one❤. Wouldn't be mad if 'Go Tobann' won, it's catchy af & I'd never say no to Gaeilge❤
Go Tobann!!! I first thought it meant literally go (male name) Tobann, but when I looked at the translation and meaning of the song (disappearance of the Irish language), I started liking it even more. Doomsday Blue is also great, I like both equally!
As an Irish listener for me it’s Ailsha Go Tobann but I would be happy with Bambie Thug Doomsday Blue if it’s selected. ☘️🇮🇪❤️🇮🇪☘️ Ireland has played it safe for far too long. It’s time to be different and take a risk which is what Irish people have been asking for. The only criticism I have of the comments made is that yes the late late show is for an older viewer but when Eurosong happens a younger audience does watch and vote. Wild Youth won last year on the late late show because of younger voters. ❤ I don’t know if Wiwi Bloggs is aware of that. This years selection shows Ireland still takes the competition seriously, has desire to win and keep our record in the competition. We are trying to be diverse and break away from the boy bands and the typical ballad entries we send. Ireland has great musicial talent and this Eurosong proves it. I can’t wait to see the staging. 😊☘️🇮🇪❤️G’won Ireland❤️🇮🇪☘️😊
I am shocked that you would put Erica or Next in Line in your top choices. They're so generic and bland. We will completely disappear, like we do every year. Have to agree with Will 100% - Ailsha and Bambie. Send something different, please!!!!
As an Irish person and a big Eurovision fan. I think Ireland need to take a risk and send Alisha or Bambi thug . We’ve been sending ballad’s and pop it’s not working for Ireland. I would love Alisha to represent Ireland because the Gaeilge is there and it’s something you don’t hear at Eurovision. As a person that speaks Gaeilge I would love it. The lyrics are great, catchy 😅 If either one of the other three acts win to represent Ireland they will not Qualify to the final. Ireland done all that over the years, it’s not working.
My personal fav is Doomsday Blues. Definitely no boy bands and stay away from most generic basic pop (which I feel like Erica Cody fall into, sorry). I wished Iike Ailsha but I feel like the mid portion of the song is a bit messy and to me it isn't a singable song, unlike parts of Doomsday which you can sing along. Now if they refined the metal part with the traditional irish instruments, maybe it will have more appeal? If you want something safe but better than the other pop selections, I think Let Me Be the Fire has some catchiness to it but for a midtempo song, I don't see it winning and it woule largely be based on performance and stage choreo.
Update after the live: Go Tobann would probably be the best choice. Ailsha was not as chaotic live and there was less dissonance in sound so I liked it a little better. But there also wasn't much singing in my opinion. It was more shouty spoken word. Strong staging though. Good crowd interaction. Isabella was not vocally strong enough. And turned her back to the crowd for a bit during a bit where I thought she would be singing and she didn't, which was strange. Maybe because she wasn't vocally confident? Definite NQ. The rap song was better live, especially with the lady singer. She was great. The rap sounded better without overproduction. But still a mid song that's wasn't catchy enough. Please bring the lady back though. Bambie Thug had strong visuals but the vocals were mid and rough in places because she was trying to do too much like dancing around. Had less impact live compared to recording unfortunately. Had a lot of fans in the audience though. Next in Line okay solid performance. Irish public who don't follow Eurovision will probably pick it. Commentators understood they were too safe though. Definite NQ song and concept. Erica Cody was the only one with camera direction and different framing. Good performer. Give this lady a better song though. This song is so forgetful compared to other countries. People in the audience and some the commentary judge panel (different from the jury) actually got what Eurovision is about and what Ireland potentially needed to do.
If the artist perfoms good, the best option for Ireland is Doomsday blue, no doubt. It is one of the every national selection's best entries this year, IMo.
I really love Bambie Thug, its really out of the comfortzone box. Its a huge risk. Only Im afraid its too experimental for the ESC juries and televote viewers.
The problem with sending two songs like Doomsday Blue and Go Tobann is they are going to split the televote. Erica Cody being the only girl bop with a key change will be the runaway winner.
The only change to qualify is Bambie Thug. If the performance is good. It all depends on the performance from all acts on the Late Late. But with the selection coming from the Late Late Show it will be a safe selection and generic and I will bet it will not qualify again for the final.
There are lots and lots of really large Stages in Ireland that could be used for 1 night for Eurosong, give a brief glimpse what we could expect at Eurovision...do I have to do this myself? Rte shameful
How did Isabella Kearney not get a mention? She has a thumping tune with great visuals…(from the house of Hosier..and could a surprise on the night! 12 pts from Switzerland 🇨🇭Erika C ..10!
Really can't belive you folks actually have a chance of going to Eurovision . Our ( Irelands ) eurovision selection process is SUCH an embaressment . That said depending on staging ( RTE , The Late Late show 🙄🙄🙄) Go Tobann definitely has potential .
Ailsha, Bambie, Erica or Isabella! JYellowL is too boring. Next In Line is not at all what we need this year. We're better off swinging big and missing big than sending a song that's got no life to it. Ailsha especially. Her entry is a risk we have to at least try cause we've been playing it way too safe the last few years when other countries are pulling it out of the bag. We're being left in the dust and have to go into 2024 with something ambitious. Even if we don't get a great result, I'd rather fail and be memorable then fail and be forgotten.
The boyband have little to no chance of winning Eurosong. It’s definitely going to be between Ailsha, Bambie Thug and Erica-Cody, all of their songs are miles better than Next In Line’s
so do we know for sure if Go Tobann had AI generation involved in its production? even to me as a huge game music fan this sounds sus. though I'm hooked on the song and I would love if genres on Eurovision become more diverse. interesting to see if there will be any policy on AI
Ok, where has the idea come from that only very OAPs watch The Late Late Show? It’s more popular with the over 50s but it does have a younger demographic too. Also, most of the older viewers will not watch Eurosong, and if they do, are unlikely to vote
Be great when ye do these videos ye know how voting will work etc. guessing is boring. It was announced ages ago how the voting would work so some research would go a long way. International jury..... seriously what kinda result was that
I think you mean Next In Line.. I hope we’ve learned our mistake from Wild Youth.. it’s a better song but all of the other 5 have a better chance undoubtedly, especially Ailsha and Bambie Thug, everyone is saying the same thing
@jamieconroy4126 whats the tendency in Ireland? Ailsha or Bambie because let's be honest Bambie has no chance of getting jury votes in Eurosong so please use your votes for Ailsha
I know you obess over pop girlie's more than anything else but these takes are just bizarre we have sent nothing but bland for too long no to Erica no to louis walshs newest creation
I really don't like Go Tobann, it is just noice. It may sound better live. Bambie has beautiful sections, but still. Boyband is pleasant, but 13 in a dozen. Erica is bland and Isabella is better but not very memorable. The rap is not my cup of tea, either. To my mind Ireland may be a non-qualifier again. Unless live show is better.
There is a section about this literally, but there's a bigger message behind choosing that particular phrase, and anyone who has tried to learn the Irish language through the Irish schooling system will absolutely understand the meaning behind it. In fact, the English lyrics demonstrate the message too, so it also works for an international audience.
I'm from Ireland and I want Ailsha to go even if its last place final. If anything it will bring the thought of the Irish language back in adult eurovision, backing it all the way
As an Irish person, if Next In Line gets through, I will call for us to withdraw.
Ailsha needs to get through, we need to take a risk here.
People want Ireland to send something much different, for me that’s Go Tobann by Ailsha
It's Bambie Thug 'Doomsday Blue' for me, I think it's very special, so different, the one❤.
Wouldn't be mad if 'Go Tobann' won, it's catchy af & I'd never say no to Gaeilge❤

We sent a boyband last year and it failed spectacularly
Go Tobann!!! I first thought it meant literally go (male name) Tobann, but when I looked at the translation and meaning of the song (disappearance of the Irish language), I started liking it even more. Doomsday Blue is also great, I like both equally!
Ailsha is clearly the best choice for Ireland - please remember to vote on 26 January 🇮🇪
I don't think it will be taken seriously
Is it possible to vote outside of Ireland?
@@markopetrovic7700 Good question! Does anyone know how we can vote on the night of the Late Late Show?
@@User356-m8wonly if you live in the Uk or Ireland
Ailsha to Eurovision. Semi's are televote only, take off the jury hat when evaluating these songs.
She would definitely stand out 🔥

Oh also Bambie Thug as an artist has such vision so I think if she has any say, the staging could be very visually interesting.
Update after the live:
Go Tobann would probably be the best choice.

Oh come on! The boy band HAS HAD ITS DAY.
If the artist perfoms good, the best option for Ireland is Doomsday blue, no doubt. It is one of the every national selection's best entries this year, IMo.
Yeah your opinion
Ireland 🇮🇪 of course lreland are the best in the world 💯💯💯💯
I really love Bambie Thug, its really out of the comfortzone box. Its a huge risk.

Just putting it out there Louis isn’t as loved here as he once was. The relation to Louis could be a downfall for NIL
Please do who should win Supernova/Latvia!
Coming very soon 🎉
These two guys who picked Erica and boyband clearly don't want Ireland to do well at Eurovision lol
The problem with sending two songs like Doomsday Blue and Go Tobann is they are going to split the televote. Erica Cody being the only girl bop with a key change will be the runaway winner.

For me it's between, Erica Cody, Isabella Kearney and Ailsha. The rest of the songs are terrible. I hope we choose the right song 😊
There are lots and lots of really large Stages in Ireland that could be used for 1 night for Eurosong, give a brief glimpse what we could expect at Eurovision...do I have to do this myself? Rte shameful
I'm stuck in America. Is there a Rest of World vote this time?
I keep reading it's possible to vote from abroad, but can't find the info. Were you able to find anything?
Also it’s pronounced guh tub in …..
Erica’s song may be generic but still the most sane of the bunch but it all comes down to the semi final draws for Eurovision
Jeez. My overwhelming feeling is that Ireland might not qualify with any of these. Hope things change when we see live versions.
How did Isabella Kearney not get a mention? She has a thumping tune with great visuals…(from the house of Hosier..and could a surprise on the night! 12 pts from Switzerland 🇨🇭Erika C ..10!
Go Bambie Go

The Boy Band ☺
Go Tobann is pronounced Guh Tubin. (It's in the Irish language not English)

DOOMSDAY SLAY

Bambie has the strongest entry, visuals, production and lyrics overall. Ailsha's song is trashy.
Really hope she can translate this to the Late Late Show stage 🤞
Disagree highly
Some awful choices. No one outside of Louis Walsh and Linda Martin want Next in line selected...
Next in line 🎉 💞 but song disappointed me a little 😢
Alisha is singing about going to the toilet !

Well, at least that'd make an interesting change (the "going to the toilet" song)! Something fun 😅
Alisha - A-leash-a pronunciation
This didn’t age well 😂
