Eagle Rare is my favorite fall bourbon. I have a bottle every year with thanksgiving. It’s delicious and has so many positive memories and experiences surrounding it for me. Cheers Chad and Sarah!
I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of months and thought I would leave my first comment. After watching this I made a trip to total wine and came home with the New Riff Rye. I almost bought the Old Forester, but I already have two bottles of it. So far I’m digging the New Riff. Thanks for the pick!
I’ve watch this video a couple time since it’s release. Some people, married people are perfect together. That’s definitely both of you. What a great video. Perfect entertainment on a subject I love. Thanks!
Happy to see Michter's Toasted make the list. Been one of my all time favorites since I discovered it 4-5 years ago. Looking forward to comparing to Elijah Craig Toasted.
Great collection. I tasted EC A120 vs. B520 blind tonight, and wow. I understand you saving them for the winter tasting, but in northern New England? Winter is coming, and EC Barrel Proof is already in season.
Just put a flannel shirt on and going hunting for the Michter's toasted Barrel. Fall weather has definitely hit the state of Maine, going into the 30's tonight. Great review with some great laughs, genius, hahaha!
Good Luck David, as that Maine Bourbon hunt is a tough one. We moved from Bangor to Billings about a month ago, and fall is set to arrive in Mid October here.
102° here. Sipping from an infinity blend of mostly rye whiskies. Cranked the ac up and enjoyed your fall suggestions. Hey , it's LA - Land of Allusions.
Great video, you two. You and Jason both put out amazing videos at the same time. This really highlights what's best about IBN. You're informative, lighthearted and fun to watch. 👍👍
Thanks for the list! Best time of year for a great Bourbon or Rye. The Knob Creek Batch 2 Cask Strength Rye is a great pour at 127 proof. Label says barreled in 2010. I think I should grab another bottle.Cheers!🥃👍🇺🇸
Your welcome: 1. Rare Breed Rye 2. Old Foerster Single Barrel 3. Old Forester 1920 4. Yippee Kay-Yay! By: High West 5. Old Tub Unfiltered 6. Bardstown Bourbon Co a. Goodwood b. Copper & Kings 7. New Riff Rye 8. Mitchers US-1 Toasted Barrel Cheers & Dont drink and drive!
Grabbed the Yippee Ki-Yay as soon as HW announced that it was discontinued. Haven't cracked it yet, but very much looking forward to doing so. (The 2019 Bourye was also a solid purchase.)
High West! My local distiller. So sad Yippee is going away. I've only hoarded two bottles. And yes, do a holiday pick. I expect to see Midwinter Night's Dram 😉 🥃
Personally for me, the colder it gets, the more I prefer Scotch, and the hotter it gets, the more I like Bourbon. Cold, grey Scotland the hot American South
Nothing beats a peaty scottish dram on a midwinter's night (no allusion to High West product intended....ok maybe a little bit but I digress) but you should check out the Texas whiskey trail sometime.....there are some pretty phenomenal single malts originating from between Waco and San Antonio and elsewhere in that fine state.
Just found you guys and what a great vid to find first! I’m definitely going to get a tee but hate the challenge coins are sold out! I would have loved to give some to my Army & firefighter brothers!
A sort of underrated pick for me has to be Bulleit 10 Year. Despite the low proof just like Michters, it manages to have a nice baking spice and herbal tea combination that makes you feel so relaxed and warm. Only thing holding it back is the short finish, but the palate is nice and varied and keeps it interesting. Great list you guys!
Hello lovely people Recently I’ve seen ur Buffalo Trace Mash Bill#2 video and I have never heard of Rock Wood Farms and Hancock’s and I also didn’t found on “Buffalo Trace” website. Are they both independent bottlers who take whisky from Buffalo Trace and bottle with their own name ? OR Are they product of Buffalo Trace itself, if yes than why they are not on Buffalo Trace website. Really looking forward from hearing with you.
Don McClelland Sure, we could see that, but for us the quintessential Christmas drink would be A Mid Winter’s Night Dram. Die Hard is perfectly acceptable. Or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation!
Bought the Evan Williams Bottled in Bond Last night based off of your review of it. I have to say, for the price it is not bad. I was drinking along side Weller special Reserve, and weller is simply better. Not way better. Just better. What's better about it you ask? Evan williams has that "Dill" taste like Jack Daniels or Evan Williams, which led me to ask the questions what is "Sour Mash" and is this the profile/ distinction I am trying to describe with the "Dill " description. I am obviusly a newby at this. Thanks for the help
The only downside to this list is my location, only access is to 1920 in Idaho, all the rest have not been available here. Fun to have a target list! Thank you guys
Some of those prices are a bit high! Limited release or not! Also, just saw like 50 bottles of EC toasted barrel at my liquor store priced $58 though (and EC B520 at $65, a same deal bunch of bottles, along with Larceny BP C920 at $55, and yes a bunch of bottles)!!!
Was able to get the first Michters toasted barrel bottle off the shelf. Transferred to smaller bottle so still have some left. Been awhile let’s try some? 😉
Could be my favorite IBK vid ever. Surprised tho, as hard as it is to find, that Weller 12 didnt make the Fall list since Sarah recently (and understandably) ooh and ahhed over how fallish W12 was, something about it being the perfect bourbon for a Friday Night campfire or football game.
New Jersey reporting: Elijah Craig toasted has been out and my local store just ran out of bottles and I didn’t get one :( However the michter’s toasted rye came out this week and I managed to snag one. More Christmas-y I feel.
Let's see how many I can actually get in Germany! Edit: 0 Hopefully, WTRB Rye will soon be available here too. By the way, I only looked at whisky.de - don't know about local stores or smaller websites. I really like the timestamps(and you really shouldn't limit yourself to German retail)!
Question!! Some of these are hounded by these Kentickians, and hard to get. Can you, or have you done a "value" fall list of bourbons that you like that are on most shelves? Example, Jim Beam Distillers Cut......one of my favorites for fall!! #CheersFromTheWasteland
Thank you for this list....growing *INCREDIBLY WEARY* of hunting damn LE and limited releases.....bourbon and FB groups around here post when things hit the shelves and they get wiped out *BEFORE LUNCH!!!* Even my buddy who manages a huge liquor store can’t get me a bottle of most. DONE HUNTING!
Love you guys and your videos, but I have a comment on this one. Out of the 8 whiskeys you say I should drink this fall, I think there are only about 3 that I have realistic chance of getting. I live in Chicago and have good relations at several big stores, so I am not in some small town in the middle of nowhere. Please consider doing at least some videos that feature "X whiskeys you should drink [insert season, holiday, day of week, time of day] that most of you can actually find."
Its 100 degrees in southern California where I'm based. Bourbon hunting has been fun but can't drink any of it because it's too hot and only refreshment is water or Arnold palmer

I, for one, welcome this new flannel grading system! Great episode, guys :) Cheers!

Thank you!
Woodford Double Oaked is a favorite fall/winter bottle for me
I agree 💯👌🏾
Having a bottle kill currently
I do wish it was over 100 proof, but all things considered, damn good whiskey
Shocked Rarebreed bourbon didn't make this list. I also see it as being Christmasy so hope it's on the holiday playlist! Great video as always!
Sarah! me and my wife's birthdays are in November and we always say that's why fall is our favorite season! You get it 😊
I'm a newer whisky drinker, and I really enjoy your videos. Gives me some good advice on what to try.
Happy to see Michter's Toasted make the list. Been one of my all time favorites since I discovered it 4-5 years ago. Looking forward to comparing to Elijah Craig Toasted.
First thought was Old Tub, glad too see you had it on the list! I would also say Old Grand Dad 114 fits this bill as well! Cheers
“Chill in the air” lol, high of 102°F today gotta love Arizona.
My app says 105°🤣
98° out in Los Angeles. Nice Fall weather.

There is something about the name Old Tub that just really gets me excited about a drink!
I love fall too❣️ Really enjoyed! Will have to try some of these... Thanks😊
I started chuckling like a fool at the first note of the Price is Right fail music.
Pikesville Rye is my go to right now with black walnut bitters. Autumn in a rocks glass.

Great vid guys! Rare Breed Rye and EC Toasted Barrel top the list for me.
Watching this on Sunday night (10/25) instead of the live/replay since your enjoying your #bourbonandtime weekend
Thinking Pikesville Rye which comes in with a heat index of 110, warm u right up 🔥
