Background: The approval of drugs targeting actionable driver mutations has significantly improved outcomes in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, there is an ongoing need for novel biomarkers with prognostic value. The aim of this study is to analyze key changes in the tumor microenvironment (TME) that explains our previous findings about the prognostic value of IL-1β.
