I don’t understand how Derek & the dominos still hasn’t got to the R & R hall of fame by now. When I hear them doing - why love has to be so sad - in the Fillmore east 1970 - I know for sure it doesn’t get better then that - I wouldn’t have missed that concert for the world...if I hadn’t been three years old at the time.

I think Clapton is the only 3 timer in the hall of fame, he should be in for D&D and in my book anyway for Blind Faith as well

I've been in that same jail! Nothing major...was hanging out with my brother's friends back in 65 or 66. They were of legal age so could buy beer but I was only 14-15. We were acting like typically stupid teenagers on Sunset Strip. Next thing I knew we got lit up by the cops. Ended up handcuffed to my friend because I had a cast on my forearm. We're in the back seat of the patrol car and my friend proceeds to vomit on the cop in the front seat. I thought "Well this is it, we're gonna get stomped." Didn't happen tho, and spent the night in the hoosegow. Luckily when they called home to have someone pick me up my brother answered and pretended to be my Dad and he came to pick me up. My parents didn't find out until years later. Fun times!
Anyway, enjoying your inside stories of the music biz & your contributions.

Can you guys elaborate on Bobby's youth and what instruments he learned to play... Have heard him say he was first chair drummer in school, seen him play acoustic guitar and organ, and piano (on the Jools show), Did he play piano as a child, lessons or self-taught? It's like he was born for this life of music, and it truly shows! Thanks for reading and thank you for all the content posted! Happy Holidays to both of you!!

What was interesting though Pete took away from the atmp is how George got so many people to play on his album, and a year and a half later when Pete split from humble pie and decided to go and make his first album the 1972 winds of change he invited a lot of people and said maybe you can come and play on my album too. taking what he saw during the atmp sessions

Just like Supertramp breakfast in America and 09/11 good God does it ever end?🤯
Some people will believe anything. And I got some ocean front property in Arizona
I loved hearing Bobby laying down Bob Dylan's 115th dream that is such a kick-ass song from bringing it all back home..
I'm with Bobby on today's country and the rap fusing and everything else. I do like the old stuff and I still am a huge big Waylon Jennings fan I love the old Waymore stuff and I probably always will and most of Willie.
Yeah he imagining the heyday John and Harry together you hear those great stories man I tell you Harry was another great man unfortunately so talented by the troubled soul died way too young also. I still love that Nilson Schmilson album.
I also have to say Bobby being there at the original sessions it must have been really neat to see badfinger become into their own
Have a safe memorial Day this was a great morning coffee session I enjoyed it immensely.

a vw bug? dinner with the evil alan klein? a dui without even driving? shheesh! 3 stories i would have bet against, in a few short minutes!
well, grace slick said she got 3 dui's, and she wasn't actually driving for any of them. but she only told one of those stories: her sportscar catches fire 'cause she's speeding and hadn't put any oil in it, so she pulls over and she stands by the side of the road, watching her car burn. when the cops come along, she started giving them lip - "cops do not like that" and hauled her in for a dui

I think maybe the the cops were unknowingly saving you from any involvement between Lennon, Neilsson and Bobby Keys. That could have been really wild. Maybe Keith Richards could have held them back a little. 😉
