I appreciate you making an educational video but the title is misleading. I am looking for steps on “How to become a lineman.” Not “intro to lineman school” lol
Transformer outside our home distributes either 100 or 200 amp into a 100 or 200 amp breaker based on the wire size as well. Then you can you a 15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50 most commonly use are the 20,30,40,and 50 (single or double pole) to distribute voltage to your home and appliances, (Make sure to do your load calculations, and use the right wire size to prevent yourself from being homeless) 😅
Hey really great video, I’m new to the channel but I’m an electrician in England, currently in Canada! Is there a forum or platform for people to get more info on becoming a lineman? Thanks!
Hey man just curious was nlc worth it and is it required for work in California? I have a family member with a pole set in his yard to teach people (he’s been saying don’t go to the school and get a foot in the door at a utility then transfer to line once in) so I’ve been climbing on that and studying the “lineman and cablemans hand book” by Thomas m shoe maker. Also a couple of electrical theory books I have from my inside wireman schooling.
I’m 19 looking to become a lineman I was wondering if you can reply to this so I can get some advice plz for anyone here in the coommets as well that are lineman that can
Just got my CDL yesterday and I’m not sure if the company I applied for work for are lineman or fiber optic guys, please help me out. 19 yrs old and I’m ready to go.
Quit talkin about about our trade bro, if someone really wants to get in the trade they can do the research and figure it out! Blowing up our trade on social media like this is why we have soo many shitty hands tryin to be lineman!
We're not blowing up the trade. We're showcasing an awesome opportunity for a career. If they want to pursue it, by all means do the research. But doesn't your comment contradict yourself? they do research , they come across videos like this and others on the internet!
@@BlueCollarEDU The point I’m trying to make, is social media is bad for our trade. A Journeyman on a line crew is the best job in the world! I don’t agree with publicizing Line work.
U sound like a real pleasure to be around💀 get off ur high horse and humble urself. He’s not blowing it up by posting a video abt it.😂 the people watching this video r the ones tryna do research to figure it out wise guy😭
Why would you want to gatekeep a good job? I want to do this kind of work and wouldn't know where to start with help from the internet and by extension TH-cam.
