Naquela época (final dos anos 90 e inícios dos anos 2000), a Manchete Gospel era imbatível pela sua grade programações e também pelo acervo insuperável de músicas com o melhor do Gospel Nacional e internacional.

Curtindo em 2024... E lembrando do tempo que meu falecido pai...comprou um som de bailão pro grupo de jovens da igreja...colocou essa música pra testar o som aqui em casa 😂. Nostalgia pura. Meu pai me ensinou a escutar músicas boas desde cedo. Deus o tenha 💔

I love love this song from the first time i heard it back in 1998.
That’s when I heard it too my bf at the time his brother had a bunch of Christian cds and I never listened to Christian rock before I got to the 6th cd in the case and put on song number 5 and fell in love and been listening to this version ever since. It’s my go to song when I am down, depressed or hurt.

Sounds like he trashed his voice due to the hard use he put it through in his younger days. He also no longer has the top F on the final "you can't go on anymoooooooooooooooooooore" like he did back in the day.
His voice might have been fatigued at this point, which is perhaps why he was using his lower register throughout his first two solo albums. Don't forget, though, this was also 1995 and no one was going to give anything a chance if they were singing in metal tenor registers. Could have been a combination of both... For the record, his voice today is stronger than ever. Check out the last Stryper album and the upcoming Sweet solo record.
Lol no these are totally different style songs,,and you would not sing this slower acoustic version same as original,,its acoustic and different,,it would not work,,i love this version always have ,,aint nothing wrong with his voice lol,,
