A very thoughtful and thought provoking interview, Ai Weiwei makes modern art relevant in ways that very few others have been able to. His comments on music were quite surprising,
In this Kronberg Academy interview two people speak outside of their mother tongue about art in an outer world. Is that an advantage? Can art grow between these two people under these conditions? Or will be art just words under these circumstances? Personally, I think that the constellation question / answer does not benefit the essence of art either. It is difficult for the one who asks to leave his point of view because he wants to know something. And at the opposite it is difficult for the one who answers, because he wants to let something be known. It would be easier if both interlocutors were on the same side, either on the question or on the answer side. They would join forces instead of branching out.
