Really helpful tutorial. I've done a fair amount using InDesign in the past, but many of your tips were so handy and suprisingly in depth. Tabs particularly.
Great tutorial. Just got asked to do this and knew I'd turn to InDesign. Wasn't sure on the booklet print options, but you've explained them very well.
Thank you very much for your tutorials. They are great. You make iT easy to learn. You voice is perfect, very clear and pleasent. Please keep up you fantastisch work. Greetings from Holland.
I like this. I like your simplicity and airy feel to the document. I am going to use your method and create a program for an upcoming event at a school.
Thank you so much for the step by step that I was totally able to understand! I am brand new at Adobe InDesign. I appreciate your hard work. I will look at your other tutorials for how to upload a template.
Thanks for the video very useful and very well explained, however when I went to go to "print booklet" I have the following warning " the booklet doesn't fit the current paper size. Click print settings to specify a larger paper size or to scale the booklet to fit. Please note that I followed you instructions in terms of the paper size at the start of the set up. Need some advice. Thank you.
Love this! Side question- what font did you use for the "2018 Dance Recital Text"? I couldn't quite see the selection font name but I love it. Thank you!
If you have a multi-page document, do you still have your pages as like 2-3, 3-4, etc? I am doing a program that will be something like 20 pages, 11x17, bifolded and stapled (ironically for a dance recital!). With this lay out, the same piece of paper will have something like, for example, page 2 and 19 on it. Would I have to lay out my pages like that? Or is ID smart enough to know that even if I go in sequential order, it needs to combine them differently for printing? Sorry I’m probably not being clear. Just starting to learn ID.
Nicki I've learned so much from watching your videos. Thanks for posting them. I do have a question about how to set up a large booklet that I will need to send to a prof. printing company. Is there a way I can contact you to ask this question.
Very IMPRESSIVE! Your talents are unbelievable. Sent you an email so please feel free to respond to the email I provided. Really appreciatre your help. :0).
Using distiller to create the pdf - so so bad... it was going so well... what's this with "if you're on a Mac you can print to PS" you can do that on any document - but it's not a recommended workflow. These tutorials are user BEWARE! So many awful practices that will cause issues for beginners!!!
TH-cam isn’t my full time job. I run a creative agency by day and use projects from there as inspiration for tutorials here. I would like to release more videos definitely, there just isn’t enough hours in the day. I do regularly reply to comments and answer questions via email in the interim.
5 years later and this video is helping me out today! Thank you
I'm happy to hear this and glad it helps after all this time!
Bonus points for showing both stacked and booklet outputs. Thank you so much!
